A few hours later, Vice-president Jang and Jang Ma-Ri returned from the hospital.
"Ma-Ri, did you hear what the doctor said? No more working late into the night and staying over at work. You must submit your laptop to me every night by 9 pm before you go to bed. Is that clear?" Jang Deok-Hwa said while staring intently at her.
A deep breath escaped Ma-Ri's lips. She clenched her fists and looked her father in the eye. She was angry.
Clearly, she had a lot that she wanted to communicate to him, but at the end, she couldn't bring herself to raise her voice at him.
"Dad, I think it's too late to stop me. I don't think I can find any peace until I have completed every task on my table before the promotion list in drawn."
How did her expect her to stop implementing the plans he gave her the idea to start in the first place? Already she was close to her go, why would he want to cut short her work schedule?
