So this is the mountain of Calamity hmm...?
Noah arrived at the place where he could see the mountain.
It was a rocky mountain with no green and looked like a 500 meters high sharp stone sticking out of the ground. The air was not very fresh and filthy water and dead animals smells were mixed in it. Sometimes the sound of the wind blowing in and out of the mountain could be heard and the environment was freezing.
Noah had not encountered any monsters yet.
Grot said that even hunters did not come here to hunt. That was because most of the monsters living here were C rank or below which do not fetch much that it did not worth the risk of coming here.
Boom.
A loud explosion sound could be heard following with birds' chirping sounds and animals' cries.
What is going on.
Thousands of monsters came running toward Noah which made it looked like the end of the world was approaching.
"Most of them are small monsters, I can win" Noah thought and put his hand on the
Noah kept waiting until the monsters reached within his range of attack and prepared to swing the scythe.
"No, something is wrong"
Because the monsters avoided Noah and kept running past him.
They were running away from something.
Noah looked at the direction where they came from.
A huge black bull about 4 meters height with a human body was chasing them.
He has a huge bull-like face with two enormous horns. There is a golden ring piercing at the nose. The head and back were covered with black thick fur which looked sharp and rogue. The legs were those of a bull but longer and bigger. He was standing on those legs that his muscular and human-like chest and stomach could be seen.
A minotaur.
He was wielding an giant axe in the hands and chasing the animals.
The strange thing was that he was injured badly on right leg and eyes.
The minotaur stopped when he saw Noah.
"Grrr!" he roared loudly enough to shake the world.
Then he charged toward Noah with great speed and swang the axe.
Noah also swung the scythe to block it but the strength of the attack was too strong that it sent Noah flying and hit the tree.
"Ah!"
Blood came out of Noah mouth. The whole body was hurt.
"
Noah swung the scythe in the air and water slashes came out one after another and flied toward the minotaur.
Minotaur blocked it with his enormous axe but the numbers of the slashes were too numerous that he could not block all of them forever.
Then he threw the axe toward Noah to make him stop the attack.
The axe spinned and came flying toward Noah with tremendous speed.
"I can't block it" Noah thought and ducked down to dodge the attack.
The attack was so strong and deadly that it destroyed everything in its direction.
He has no weapon now.
Noah did not let the chance slipped by and charged toward the minotaur.
"I will aim for his head" Noah thought and jumped after preparing to cut down.
But all of a sudden, the spinning axe curved its direction and came back to the owner.
It is going to hit me. I will be cut in half If it does.
Noah then turned around and faced backward and cut down the axe instead of minotaur.
Boom.
The clash of the attacks made thunderous sounds.
"Huff-huff"
Noah was exhausted. His soul energy was running low too.
I will finish him in this attack.
"
Noah chanted and ran in circle surrounding the minotaur.
Countless numbers of
The minotaur swung the axe to block the lances. Even though he had a big body, he was able to move with unbelievable speed.
Noah charged toward the minotaur from behind while he was being distracted. But minotaur aimed the axe at Noah's neck without looking at him.
Noah dodged it by bending down his head a little and threw
Noah stabbed the plam of the hand which was coming with the sword like he anticipated that attack.
"Gr!"
The minotaur roared in agony and swung the axe. The moment he stopped blocking the lances. he got stabbed by them. But, the lances also attacked Noah who was near the minotaur.
The minotaur's attacks were getting slower and weaker. Then he swang the axe downward in fury.
"That is what I am waiting for" Noah thought.
He then jumped onto the axe which hit the ground and stuck.
Noah ran on the arm and jumped again to catch
"Grr!!"
I screwed up.
Noah could not cut the head because the minotaur tilted a little to dodge. He could only cut the right hand.
"Grrr!!!!!" the minotaur is in rage that his half-blind eyes were red.
Then he charged toward Noah and attacked with the horns like a bull.
"I am dead" Noah thought and closed his eyes.
"Hoo, you managed to take one of his hands out"
A girl voice could be heard before the horns pierced Noah.
The minotaur stopped immediately the moment he heard the voice.
"I said I won't forgive you next time, right?" she talked to the minotaur while walking to Noah slowly step by step.
Minotaur was standing still and his body was shivering.
He was scared of this woman.
She seems like a woman in her 20s. She has a brown tanned skin because of the sunburnt and her voice and behaviour was like that of a wild animal. On the head, the brown and dirty hairs which did not seem like it had been watched for a while was tied into a knot. The tiny knot itself was filled with dusts. The eyes were also browish and her small nose and plain and dry lips were the features which stand out the most on the face. Sometimes, she blew off a string of hair which fell down on her face. The silver platemail can be seen under the red mucky robe which coverd her upper body. In the hand, a lance sparkled with the lightnings could be seen. It is about the same length as
"Grr!!!!"
The minotaur roared angrily at her.
"Don't think I will stop with the eyes this time"
So, the eye injuries were because of her.
The minotaur jumped and charged at her with all his strength that Noah could not follow with his eyes.
The girl spinned her lance over her head and step her right foot toward to balance her twisted body position. Then she extended her right hand forward to stab in divine speed.
Boom.
Along with the enormous blue lightning came out of the lance's tip, the sound of the thunder stike could be heard.
That was truly the sound which shook the whole mountain.
Noah was stunned and looking at the legs of the minotaur whose upper body was burnt into crisp by the lightning that it only left the legs.
"Ahh, I was too angry that I forgot to hold myself back" she complained to herself.
Then she came closer to Noah and asked in doublful voice.
"Who are you and what are you doing here?"
"I came here to search for someone"
"Someone?"
Then she noticed the scythe in Noah's hand.
"That is an unusual weapon"
Noah stood up and be on guard.
"Who are you?" Noah asked.
The girl observed Noah's face and glanced at the scythe.
"Why should I answer you?"
"Do you know someone named Damini around here?"
"A kid and a scythe. Don't tell me. Galen" the girl thought.
"What do you want from me?" she asked with doubtful eyes.
"You are Damini?"
She nodded.
"My grandfather told me to come to you. My grandfather's name is Galen Vesalius."
"What happened to him?"
Noah explained everything that happened to them.
"Galen, that bastard, he brought me troubles even after he died" she murmured
"Follow me" she said and headed toward the mountain of Calamity.
