Amory walks up the stairs and looks down. The stairs were dirty with water all over. Amory sighs and then continues to push her away. From now he should accept this attitude. It's not that he doesn't want to protest but he remembers Eirlys, he doesn't want to cause more trouble for her. Marrying him caused her to be treated badly by her family, and he didn't want her to suffer. He recalls the moment they parted, Eirlys was heartbroken but there was nothing she could do about it, and neither was he.
"Hey, don't you feel you're a cheap thing? Why don't you know that you're just the son of a poor family?"
"Don't think you can go back to your old life. I heard you lived in a great castle and enjoyed life. It's all not yours, you're a greedy person."

He endured the cold and started walking. After walking for two hours, he discovered that there was nothing around the villa, it was covered with a giant pine forest. "Get me 40 pairs of sneakers, 200 pairs of socks and 100 sets of winter clothes, 40 blankets, and 100 towels. I'll pay now."
The supermarket manager took Amory's card and went to pay, and when he was done he politely asked, "Sir, you look tired. Let me take you to the doctor."
