Perseus POV
The next couple of minutes is hell for me as no one in the area can catch up to our speed, so I had to take this guy head-on by myself with the occasional help of my little fox friend who can catch up to our speed occasionally every now and then.
Buddy is smart and predicts where Finn will be and shoot his spell there and he usually hits with accurate precision as his prediction came true most of the time. Reiner then follows the method and goes to the spot where Buddy isn't aiming, so Finn has a more increased chance of getting hit.
But this isn't good, even though I am matching him in speed and can go faster, I am not yet strong enough to fight him. I can take hits or so thanks to my tough armor and I can intercept a great number of hits thanks to my speed and the quality of my blade, but even though I possess a strong sword, my physical strength is lacking.
I can take on most adults easily and overpower them with either strength or technique, but this guy is like properly trained, he's on the strength of the chief, though I'd say the chief would lose due to him possessing better equipment and armor on him.
But they're on the same level, and it's not a level that I can win against yet, with help, yes, But I doubt Reiner is willing to go all out and expose himself only for this guy to escape later on.
On a side note, even though he's been on the offense all this time, he hasn't been able to deal good damage to me since I can just intercept everything with my sword which is probably made from the best material in the whole planet, I cut up his spells and everything in my way.
I tried aiming for his unprotected wings, but he now put a thick layer of mana to protect them, he came in not expecting me and Buddy to be here, he probably find out about it and yet he still came fully confident in trying to kill everyone here. And that mistake cost him to get a few feathers to be singed early on by my fox.
But I can tell that it's getting to his head because as much as I outmaneuver him with my speed and still can't damage him, he can't damage me either.
"What's with your sword?" he complained as we managed to lock our blades
"Think of it as a present from the sun goddess."
I then remembered what Dawn told me.
'Well if you can manipulate light, the steel rock I summoned down should be good for you, it's very conducive for ones with your power, and it's better than others of the same quality as well when it comes to conducting magic, so make good use of it, you won't often find material that can conduct both the power of a god and magic that can be wielded by a mortal.'
I then inject the power of the 2 roses and mix it with the power of light, my blade is now clad with a swirl of black and blue energy which intimidated Finn quite a bit as I now go on the aggressive and go max speed with a smile on my face.
I now go and attack the magic layer protecting his wings over and over, he protected against most of my attacks, leaving him open for Buddy's strong explosive spells and Reiner joined in by shooting out a storm of red rose petals to attack him.
The rose petals aren't doing much, but even Finn can tell that it's going to chip his armor sooner or later, the storm of petals is now limiting his vision as well as the red rose duo is controlling it from afar. There create platforms every now and then in the air for me to land on and force a strong jump to land stronger hits.
I aim for his wings or the weak spots in the joints as they're the thinnest and weakest spot, but our momentum didn't last long, I managed to get past the protection he cast on his wings and I cut his left wing in half as he then sends out a circular explosion of wind.
His armor is now nicked and got dents everywhere thanks to my relentless attack on him with my sword.
"You're good, but..." he then shoots out a blast of orange light at Rolan who woke up earlier and is now fighting one of the intruders
Rolan sensed this and summoned several layers of barriers surrounding himself and Reiner send the storm of red petals to act as a barrier on top of it. And it blew past all of them and Rolan sensing the imminent doom jumped out of the way and the attack hit one of Finn's allies instead and killed them in one hit.
Killed in an understatement, they got incinerated out of existence with only a part of their legs and a portion of their hands left and fall onto the ground.
"Well, you just sinned by killing your own comrade, what do you have to say about that?"
"I will make sure to accomplish our goal so that he did not die for nothing." he replied with an angry tone "My light is the light that is used to kill all demons, and I will make sure to do so, I will accomplish God's will and unite the world under our faith."
"Yo, gods are demanding, but they ain't crazy, I've met them."
"That's because you met with the false gods, the ones who fooled everyone into thinking that they created the world."
Man, he's stubborn.
