Perseus POV
"Alright, you 2 catch up enough, let's go back to the others."
They catch up with each other and told each other's stories for a good 30 minutes as I sat on the opposite couch like some sort of third wheel. Leilah did bring me into the conversation a couple times, but I couldn't care less and just said the minimum.
"Oh you can go." Rowan then used his hands to shoo me away "You're clearly not needed."
"Bro, this is my house, who the hell are you shooing?!"
"Don't call me bro." he retorted
"I call everyone bro, I even called the chief's daughter bro."
"Seriously, what do you see in this guy that both you and Ruka chose him to wield your powers...worst...he's a reincarnated soul, no wonder he's fucking smart and arrogant, we were tricked from the beginning." he facepalmed
That's a bit rude, I'm a really nice guy, I haven't made anyone cried with words after a record breaking 3 months. Luckily none of my family members are home, that comment of me being a reincarnated soul would have made the world rip in half.
Besides, I will continue to call him bro, when I marry Leilah, he's going to be my...*gag*, it's hard to word it...brother...in law. I have to get used to him and get along with him soon.
"Look, I can convince Reiner to journey with the heroes, why don't you 2 and this buttface join us?" Rowan suggested "We can maybe even find our parents again if all of us are gathered, you were gone for so long."
"No, we've already decided to go south to solve certain problems and fight certain monsters there like the ship eating kraken." Leilah shook her head "We'll train Perseus up on our own pace, working with the heroes will only hinder our speed. Of course, when the war starts, we'll join in."
"Ok, make sure to write me letters." Rowan demanded "Keep me updated, I'll keep your existence a secret even from Reiner until you become public knowledge...and please break up with this guy, he's the last guy I want you to end up with."
"Well unfortunately, I will not listen to that last request." Leilah laughed "I plan to become mortal within his lifetime, after all with the powers of 2 roses, you should know that he is already individually better than the heroes. Besides, my identity won't be secret for long. After all revealing myself is more beneficial if anything."
That's true, the black rose is a power that both side of the war is seeking, the blue rose is known to be neutral and apparently both side have 3 rose each. Making the last rose the deciding factor, but Leilah said that if I was revealed to hold the power of these 2 roses, even the demons would leave the whole western continent alone as to not intrude the territory of the strongest rose.
I will become the deciding factor in this war, and to appease me, no one will invade or endanger my village, they will do me favors even if I intend to stay neutral during the war, that's the mindset of the people of this world, but if the side of either the demon lord or the heroes emerge victorious, that is when it's different, that's when they will isolate us and see us as a threat.
So since I'm going to be seen as a threat either way, showing ourselves early is good, I can't keep this a secret forever. So me flirting with Maple helps me a lot, I can get a beautiful girlfriend and someone strong enough to protect me after the war, even the demon lord won't fight a goddess after all.
But we need to give it a good entrance, the ship eating kraken is a good start, it's been blocking trade routes for the past 2 centuries, and no strong faction is willing to take it on as they focus on preparing for the upcoming inevitable war.
Ships are taking longer routes and the tourism o the southern continent is also on a decline...well, that's a good place to make the world know of me and the black rose.

Me and Rowan head back to the group who is taking a tour and is now at a nearby bakery having some snacks before a siren is heard, it's the alarm that the tree is being attacked and that the watchers and some capable fighters should gather.
This village have a volunteer system as well, in school, students are taught some of the battle tactics and memorize on how the volunteers can help if an attack were to occur, it has happened a while back several times, but not at this level, this siren is ringing the highest threat level.
I immediately ran towards the direction at the meet up spot and asked chief Aminu.
"What's going on?"
"Perseus, good thing that you're here." he replied "Where is milady, Ruka?"
"She'll be here, I'll update her later, what's the situation?"
"The watchers spotted several dozens ships invade our southern coast border, they are demons from the demons continent, it seems they knew that the heroes would come here today, some of them even camped out and almost at the original village at the bottom of the tree, with the thousands of demons joining in from the sea..."
"Well there's a reason why are people are regarded as the strongest and is treated as a whole nation, right? Our chances of victory?"
"Even without you and milady, we'll win, but we'll lose a lot of fighters." he answered with a grim face
"Gotchu. Reiner and Rowan is definitely going to head down and fight the ones nearby, so I'm flying to the sea, they haven't landed yet, right?"
"No."
"Alright, I'll help sink em all."
I then ran to the edge of the tree and flew off with magic towards that direction before being joined in by Ruka and Leilah after a couple seconds. After a minute or so, we spotted the coast and can see that they're only a couple km away.
"It seems like this is a good time to let the world know of the last rose."
