There are 4 types of dungeons in the world; normal dungeons, split dungeons, labyrinth dungeons, and trial towers. Normal dungeons are those dungeons that are most commonly found everywhere, this includes basic dungeons and one-time dungeons. A one-time dungeon is a dungeon that can only be raided one time and these types of dungeons are usually carried out by 1000-man parties due to how huge and hard the dungeon is.
Split dungeons are dungeons in which two dungeons are intertwined, they are two dungeons in one spatial gate. Although the premise might sound normal on the surface in reality, it was hard, since split dungeons are considered abnormal dungeons, you could be expecting to fight a C-rank dungeon and once you enter, you'd find yourself fighting the 2nd dungeon which is of S-rank difficulty. That was why players are very wary of split dungeons as how they could change anytime as a result, there was not much known information about a dungeon since its formation could change on each passing time.
Labyrinth dungeons are one of the most dangerous dungeons and also the bountiful one out of all. A labyrinth could consist of floors and you have to defeat the boss on each floor and go deeper. The deeper you are stronger the boss monsters get and the more rewards you could obtain. Nobody knew how many floors a labyrinth has from the time they had existed until now, only floor 12 has been the highest a player has conquered. Players believed that there could be 15 or 20 floors but experts analyzed that there could be 50 or 100 floors.
Trial Towers on the other hand aren't considered dungeons, they only fit the category due to their spatial size, difficulty, and stages being similar to that of a dungeon. Trial Towers are dungeons that allow only individuals to conquer them. It has 10 floors that reach the top of the tower. This dungeon was made to show how much a player has improved in the stage of the game, by reaching each floor, you'd be analyzed depending on your performance from each floor and rewarded with suitable loots that unlike dungeon rewards that are completely randomized. Trial Towers could only be entered once a year and due to how hard it was in each level increasing by threefolds the difficulty, only the 7th floor had been conquered, and nobody has yet reached the 8th, 9th and 10th floor.
In the case of the Demon Shrine Dungeon, it was categorized as a labyrinth-type open dungeon. Only floor 11 had been reached by the 1000-man team and the highest 1-2 players could reach was floor 3, it would be considered amazing if a player could reach floor 4 and you would be considered an expert if you reached floor 5 but nobody has reached floor 6 as an independent player.
That was why players at the entrance would stare murderous gazes at any independent players that dare to enter the dungeon by themselves since it was the same as looking down on the empire by being arrogant about the dungeon difficulty that they so prided about.
"Another arrogant independent player thinking they could reach the deeper floors of the labyrinth."
"Let them be, they'll soon know where their arrogance could reach them."
"Their retards who just arrived in this place so they don't know how things work here."
"L+ratio equals your mom is a whore."
Their spiteful words could be heard loud and clear purposely triggering the two but Roman had already told him how things would usually happen if independent players enter the dungeon. They would try to degrade their morals as much as they can so they wouldn't reach far from the dungeon floors. They weren't normal players, they were players affiliated to a dark guild and as a member of a dark guild, it's natural for them to be the bad people that others think they are. Although they'd talk shit about you, they wouldn't go as far as to physically hurt you, they only do that so that if you get triggered and wished to attack them, they'd have a great excuse to retaliate.
"Let's just enter big bro."
Kaya simply nodded and pressed the spatial gate configuration, the rank of the dungeon was B to S-rank and he set the difficulty to Hell-mode which instantly turned the rift to a crimson red colo Afterwards, they entered the gate without hesitation. Those that watch could only laugh at them.
"Holy shit! Those guys are retarded!"
"Bahahaha, they must've clogged their brains from sucking each other's cocks so much."
"All I could say is that they are special people, they have down syndrome."
"That's too offensive bro, on god I wouldn't say that to the PWDs. That's a huge L bro."
"No cap."
"For real dog, for real."
One player who had called Kaya's mom a whore immediately turned serious as he opened his call logs and called his boss.
"Boss Bull, two players just entered the Demon Shrine Dungeon and have chosen the hell-mode difficulty."
"Keep watch."
Those were the words that the caller spoke and hung up. Currently, inside a chamber, Bull was torturing Jeremiah and Charlemagne by beating them up to a pulp. His fist had long turned bloody but it wasn't his blood but from the two bare naked guys being chained up in the wall. Their body covered in wounds and bruises but they didn't retaliate, they endured the beating despite knowing that this had stripped them away of their basic human rights but this was only a game, and this game was made that allowed any possibility to happen. If you are molested or at worst raped, it's not the game's fault as the contract stated that no liability will be given to the creators when inside the virtual game, and only those external factors like the cabin malfunctioning or VR helmets getting stuck to the player's heads but those factors would be paid by the manufacturer of the product and not the gaming company itself. That was why a person would have to sign a pile of papers before they could play the game and also the reason why the game was so realistic. What could happen in real life could also happen to a player in the game yet despite the extremities of the virtual game, people still choose to play it.
Unrestrained killing, sexual assault, rape, incest, pedophilia, domestic violence, and any crime that could happen in real life also could happen in the game. Just like real life being unfair, the video game was made for that unfairness and that unfairness made the game so popular. Who wouldn't want to be like the superheroes and idols that they want? They could become anything they want in this world. You wanna be a furry? You wanna be a homosexual that can get pregnant in the ass? You wanna be a vegan that gains muscles? You wanna cosplay a dictator with a funny mustache? Wanna commit suicide? Want to have sex with your idol? Want to have a 10-inch cock? (That can't happen I'm sorry) Want to try bestiality? Necrophilia? Cuckolding? Public humiliation? Exhibitionist? Wanna try eating shit in ASMR? All of those things are possible in this game as long as you have the strength to do so. Remember, imagination is the limit.
'I can't wait to leave this place. If Vagabond could successfully destroy the guild, I'd follow him even if it means licking his feet.'
'I hope this shithole gets trampled to dust. Fuck everyone here! I hope they die from that psychopath's hands so they would know what real torture is.'
At this point, Jeremiah and Charlemagne could only inwardly curse at them. Despite being enemies, they rooted for Kaya to accomplish the tasks he wish as they wanted nothing more but to burn this entire place to dust. They have long wished to leave the guild but they couldn't since the stated price was they have to be branded with the demon insignia. The only way to remove this insignia that made them slaves to the dark guild was by cutting off the source of the power which was hidden by the enigmatic guild leader himself.

Upon arrival, Kaya had thought that the place would be hot as being drenched in lava but in reality, it was cold. The place was lit up brightly and the cave made it possible for anyone to traverse easily without getting lost. A window panel then appeared in their view.
Ting~
[Floor 1]
That was the only window panel that appeared. There was no information about how to go to Floor 2 or what they should do. If Kaya had done this alone, he'd probably gotten lost trying to traverse the place but thankfully, Roman who has a library-size information in his head knew everything about the labyrinth.
"The first floor is easy, it does not contain any traps and only has one leading tunnel that leads straight to the boss but we have to defeat all of the monsters first before facing the dungeon boss since we had picked the hell-mode difficulty. If we had chosen the hard mode, there would be instances that the monsters we killed will drop the floor 2 scroll that allowed us to go down the 2nd floor without dealing with the boss but since it's hard mode, we have to defeat the boss for it to drop the floor 2 scroll."
"Okay, I understand."
Kaya immediately pulled out the wasp's stingers to use as throwing needles. Roman had thought Kaya would pull out a sword or two but seeing the needles, he was rather confused.
"You can use other weapons besides the sword?"
"I can use any weapons."
A plain and straight reply. Roman thought that he might have a hidden class that made it possible for him to wield any type of weapon like the famous Versatile Fighter epic class that was owned by the level 203 player, J. Jose, one of the strongest Mexican players in the game and is also the commander of the Super-first-rate guild, Legion Of War. Roman expected that Kaya may have a rare or epic class and at most he could expect a low unique class.
As they traverse to the crimson cave, they found demonic beasts like Hellfiends and Firebirds. Each of these monsters ranges from level 90-100 and other than their high firepower, they were known for their range and melee capabilities which made them a hard opponent to deal with especially when facing numerous of these monsters at once.
While being far from their range, Roman pulled out his two flintlocks and performed the bullet bending technique which accurately struck the eyes of the Hellfiends blinding them while Kaya on the other hand threw the needles coated in a powerful aura of Poison that accurate shot their heads bursting it like a balloon before they could evade. This surprised Roman a lot, he expected that Kaya's combat in range was subpar at best but to think he had more accuracy than himself who's confidence felt degraded. To think that someone was better at him in something he had polished and crafted for a long time and that someone had to be the least he had expected. This should have stained his pride as a gunman but in reality, though, it's far from that.
'To think he's even better at me in range and accuracy! I have to record this so I can get some pointers. I'd be too shameful to ask him directly to teach me, I'm sure he wouldn't mind recording him.'
Roman was rather amazed at Kaya and continued to admire him more. If only he had a fourth of his talent and he'd already be one of the strongest experts in the game. His envy had come from his admiration, he never felt hatred for him and only pure dedication hoping he could learn from an Apex expert.
After clearing out the mobs, Roman suggested that they should rest as much as possible since this dungeon had no time limit, stamina was the key to clearing each floor and if you expend your body too much, clearing the deeper floors was a futile endeavor since you'd die from fatigue before you could die from monsters.
Kaya didn't mind this as he started dismembering the demonic beast's corpses. When he started biting through their might, he felt amazing bliss. The meat was cooked and tender due to the heat that it contained and it felt like he was eating spicy meat and didn't feel hot due to his fire elemental subduing any heat from the meat. He didn't even need to use the heating spoon. He had already repaired his serrated blade and brought a dozen whetstones so he could enhance the effects of the serrated blade increasing its sharpness and durability temporarily.
Roman who watched Kaya eat the meat, couldn't help but try it out. Seeing his rather curious eyes, Kaya gave Roman a chunk of meat to taste but as soon as he decided to chew it, his mouth was scorched from the heat, and immediately threw up the meat as his entire taste buds had been burnt.
"Bleurgh!"
"You don't have any fire resistance huh?"
"You can only temporarily gain fire resistance and it's hard to purchase fire stones these days. Even still, I wouldn't consume firestone since the burning sensation is too much for me to handle just to earn 10 Fire Elemental Points. How about you? You could easily eat that meat without taking any food poisoning nor do you feel the hotness. What can you earn from doing that?"
"Well, this would increase my fire elemental resistance and also give me free attribute points. I already earned a skill that made it possible for me to eat monster meat relatively easy and I also earn more points from the skill's passive effects."
"Wow, I heard that you can earn 1-2 points when eating a whole monster corpse but players usually say it isn't worth it since you have to eat the meat raw and it felt like eating diarrhea and shitting them back and eating it again. You also get food poisoning but why do you still eat it? Is it worth that much effort just to earn a few points?"
Roman asked curiously. This was the first time he had seen a player who enjoyed eating monster meat and one that didn't even suffer from the effects but in reality, Kaya had long tolerated it. If he had known the first time Kaya had eaten a monster corpse, he'd understand how he got this far from eating it.
"I earned the skill Monster Eater after I ate 1000 monster corpses without stop and yes I get food poisoning and the sensation was awful but I already resisted it. If you put much effort into simply consuming it rather than tasting it, you'll get used to its taste and will gain massive amounts of benefits. I already gained a few hundred attribute points from just eating monster meat and my poison Element has already reached the 100-point limit and has long surpassed that. Now I don't get any food poisoning since I am immune to all poisoning from tier 3 and below."
"...!"
Roman was rather dumbfounded. He had never known that you could earn that many attribute points by simply eating monster meat raw, he didn't even know that you could earn that much poison Element since a player could only consume at most 5 elemental stones and you had to grind poison elements in other ways. Kaya was really amazing, if he could have the same tolerance and endurance as Kaya, it wouldn't hurt to try it out.
'If I could earn that many status points and elemental points then I don't mind being poisoned or burnt, no if I want to even be able to set on Alon's shadow, I have to overcome the extreme.'
Determination burned in his eyes. He grabbed one hellfiend corpse and started eating its meat.
-189!
-170!
[You have been food poisoned! Health will fall by 200 points every second]
[You have been inflicted with Burn! Health will fall by 150 points every second and decreases status by 5% for 20 seconds]
'Shit!'
Roman didn't stop eating. He ate more and even swallowed what he couldn't chew as his health slowly fall. When he started consuming a chunk of meat, he gained health and had his eyes burned more. It meant that as long as he continued, his health could maintain from falling to a degree. Seeing Roman's determination, he smiled. If Roman wanted to taste the bliss that Kaya now enjoyed, he had to endure hellish pain. You'll never enjoy success if you haven't failed a hundred times but if you allow yourself to accept the failure, you'll never be successful. Learn from each failure so, in the next attempt, you'll do fewer mistakes.
'If you can't fly then run, if you can't run then walk, if you can't walk then crawl, if you can't crawl, do the fucking worm, but whatever you do, you have to keep moving forward. '
-MLK Jr.
"How are you doing this?"
After Roman had finished eating his monster meat, he earned 4 fire Elemental Points and 6 attribute points. He was rather amazed at how much he could earn but the backlash was that his health had fallen by 15% and his entire mouth had turned to char. Kaya gave him one of his intermediate antidotes which Roman unhesitatingly accepted since he knew how expensive these antidotes were but he still drank it since he was currently in a state of unbearable pain. As long as he had a stock of antidotes then he could probably get the hang of the aching sensation when eating the meat but for now, he had just started this goal, as long as Kaya ate monster meat, he will it too. He'll endure the pain if he wants to earn the fruits of his labor. Now that he had earned his first share of the gains, he realize that the pain might be worth it.
'If people had known that you could easily earn a level's worth of points by just eating an entire monster corpse, they'd be willing to go under such torture but only if they had the balls to do it. I'm sure not many would try.'
Roman thought to himself. The more he understood Kaya, the more he was amazed at him. He was like a book of surprises, every time he flipped a page, he'd be surprised to find another twist to the story. If he continued reading the book, he might become obsessed with it.
