There are a few things I'd like you to know before you continue to chapter 1. If there's something you can't stomach, then you may stop now and search for another story that suit your taste ><

1. This is a modern omegaverse story. It means that there will definitely be mpreg somewhere in the future.

2. Our MC is the top/seme/gong and that means ML is the bottom/uke/shou. There is quite a big age difference between them (MC is older than ML by nine years *cough* it's counted as three generation gaps already) but no worry, romance will happen only between two consensual adults.

3. Mature scenes >//< there will be [M] warning on the title to let you know so you're free to skip the chapter if you're uncomfortable. The warning is only eligible for heavy sexual content (not included kissing and dirty talk)

4. Sensitive content warning: depictions of cruelty, murder, r*pe, illegal drug and arms distribution, child trafficking, gore, and negative thoughts

GUIDE TO OMEGAVERSE

One thing I must emphasize: this book has nothing to do with werewolves!

I am sure that you guys are more or less familiar already with the system, but just in case you are still not certain, here is a guide to the ABO (omegaverse) world in this book. I hope this helps ^^

Everyone who's born in this world is separated by their primary gender: male and female. At the age of 8-14, their second gender will manifest (ABO) or we call it second dynamics.

In some rare cases, manifestation will happen after they're older than 14 but if you don't manifest until you're 17, then it's confirmed that you are a Beta (or you can also check it out to the nearest secondary gender specialist)

💠Alpha

the majority of them are born with the characteristics of a leader. Powerful, charismatic, prideful, and they are said to be highly protective of what's theirs to the point of aggression. They are at the top of the food chain. Alphas have strong sexual drive and exceptional reproductive capability that can impregnate betas and omegas. They exude mighty and imposing pheromones which can repel fellow Alphas and charm both Betas and Omegas. They are also highly territorial. Once a year, Alphas will go into rut which will last for three to seven days. There are a few versions regarding female Alphas, but in this book, female Alphas will grow a male genital as soon as they manifest and in return, they will not have a womb so they can't get pregnant even if they are impregnated.

💠Beta

In other words, they are normal humans. They do not exude pheromones as they don't have scent glands. They can reproduce with both Alpha and Omega, however male Betas are unable to become pregnant. They can't form a bond either. Betas made up almost 95% of the population.

💠Omega

Placed at the bottom of the food chain, they are said to be born with a soft and slender body that is suitable for childbirth. Male Omegas will form an uterus as soon as they manifest. Have a very high reproductive capability. Their scents are inclined toward sweet and gentle, the likes that can attract Alphas to mate with them. Once every six months, Omegas will go into heat and their scents will spike to the point of making Alphas intoxicated. Omegas will be very vulnerable during their heat, they will be stripped of their basic function and will need an Alpha's care. Of course, single unmated Omegas can go through heats alone, but more often than not, it will be quite torturous.

💠Nesting

Usually, Omega will begin to nest nearing their heat. They will build a fort around themselves as a cocoon, consisting of soft blankets, pillows and the clothing whose smell was familiar to them. Sometimes, Omega will also put in their Alpha's clothes to help them get through the heat (if they're not spending it with the aforementioned Alpha).

💠Scenting

The first step of the courting ritual. Basically, if an Alpha scents an Omega or vice versa, it means that they are implying their interest for mating and staking the first claim on their potential partners. The Alpha's scent will stick to the Omega, and in exchange, it can chase other Alphas away. The same thing also applies to Omegas. Oftentimes, Alpha used scenting to soothe their scared or anxious Omega.

💠Courting Ritual

This is basically similar to how a man woo a woman. But in this case, the courting ritual usually happens between Alphas and Omegas. Alphas will try their best to provide and cater to Omega's wishes, including but not limited to buying Omegas gifts and foods, giving Omegas something that belongs to them (usually a shirt or any piece of clothing), flattering them, spoiling them, etc. If the Omegas accept, then they can proceed to the mating ritual.

💠Marking

Markings can be either temporary or permanent. Temporary marking lasts for two to five months, depending on how deep the Alpha's bite is. When Alpha marks an Omega temporarily, they don't release their venom into Omega's body and hence, the mark will quickly dissolve. It can be used in emergency situations, such as when an Omega goes into a difficult heat or as a protection against another Alpha. As for permanent markings, as the name implies, it is permanent and will stay for life, unable to be broken unless one of them dies.

💠Knotting

Knotting can only be done by Alphas. During intercourse, their genitals will swell on the base and will lock inside an Omega's body when Alpha is near climax. It is done as an instinct to make sure that their sperm stays inside Omega's body and for the pregnancy to take. Of course, Alpha can also knot a Beta, but Beta's body is not made to produce slick to smooth the locking and in turn, will make them experience immense pain.

💠Mating Ritual

Usually, this is done after Alpha has completed the courting ritual. During the mating ritual, Alphas and Omegas will be heavily entangled in sexual intercourse and Alpha will bite the Omega's scent gland and release his venom to form a bond. After this, they will be referred to as 'mates'.

💠True Mates

Only occurs to 1 in 10000 pairs of Alpha and Omega. There's no scientific explanation to explain how true mates work, but it is said that the Alpha and Omega will have intense attraction toward each other on their first meeting. Not only that, their scents will often be deemed 'irresistible' and being in each other's presence (especially if they are alone) will more often than not cause them to lose control.

💠Heat/Rut Suppressor

The medication Alpha/Omega consume to suppress their heat/rut. This can affect their heat/rut cycles in a long period so it is not very advisable for Alpha/Omega to take it unless absolutely necessary. The government has made it a law to grant Alpha/Omega leave of absence for a week everytime their heat/rut hits so it is absolutely no problem to go through heat/rut in an ordinary way.

💠Gland Patch/Perfume

Often used by Omegas to hide their scent. The world has improved nowadays to empower the standing of Omegas in society, but back in the days, they were often taken as the weak and helpless party, hence making it difficult for them to seek a job. Some Omegas may still put on gland patches or perfume as a defense mechanism so nobody can look down on them.
