Chapter 68 - Every action has a reaction

A few days later after the incident, took place in Frederic's territory, Christopher walked through his castle with confident, heavy steps, all the way to his private chambers, where he would meet a guest, brought by Merener from the Light Royal Capital. The subordinate Vampires and Spiders who had joined him since his arrival and the fight with the Arachne king, bowed in reverence every time he passed through the halls.

All of them were just basic Vampires and Spiders who were not so capable of fighting so they were tasked with cleaning the castle and passing on Christopher's orders if necessary. Most of them were females but some males were there too, taking the roles of guards.

Even some Werewolves now stood in the halls as if guards, greeting their Lord who saved them and their families while giving them back their powers.

Some even gained more power than they had previously. An example of this was Frederic himself, whose raw power doubled and his body became stronger. With good training and proper time, he can be almost unstoppable on the battlefield.

Christopher slightly knew how much time had passed since he entered that castle and took the title of the Lord of Sangruil. For him, it's like those events happened just yesterday.

But he knew that it didn't. Learning about the history of Aragos, about his new body and his newly unlocked powers, learning about the inner politics of higher leaders, learning how this entire system ruled by the Light Queen's hands came to exist, all of this ancient knowledge was needed for him to master.

A few things even surprised him. Before the subordinate of The Light entity, the Light Queen herself, came to Aragos and conquered it, and before the Heavenly Father turned it into his personal prison for all the "bad" supernatural beings, the entire planet was just like other supernatural planets, except, if you ignore the fact that the literal Darkness Dragon was born here.

There were souls of a few dead Vampires, packs of killed Werewolves, and some deceased dark Witches... living in peace awaiting the return of the true Lord of Darkness, as it is portrayed in the prophecy Christopher read about. Even the Goddess who now ruled the Credia Empire was there after she died of a simple betrayal on Earth.

But still, there was one Faction the Light Queen couldn't completely control nor kill.

The Faction of the oldest life which was present before the first soul arrived.

Monsters.

The true citizens of this planet, before even the Darkness and Light were born, were monsters of various shapes living near the northern region, in deep forest, while hiding in the thickest darkness, and embracing it at the same time.

Their name is Leviathans and their power level is so incredibly high that just by looking at the pictures, Christopher felt threatened.

'No wonder the Christian God was so paranoid of them escaping from Aragos. I would be as well...' Christopher thought as he recalled the pictures of the Leviathan in the book borrowed from Sangruil's library.

["Yeah, they're no joke. If I were you, I would be already sending letters and messengers to get in touch with them. Valuable and powerful allies are always needed."]

'That's true, but doing it recklessly and sloppyly like this? No, thank you. I would rather visit them personally in the future. But now, I need to focus on the matters at hand. If I can leave, I can always come back and establish a relationship with their race and mine.'

["That's also a way... I'll leave it on you."]

Christopher smiled as the conversation between him and Ardelean ended.

Continuing his walk towards the throne room, Christopher pondered upon his thoughts about his existence.

He understood that in terms of politics, everything was even easier for him.

Everyone here respected strength and Christopher was one of the strongest beings on this planet, and using that strength, he reformed all of the north and west Aragos' society in just a few days with the help of Selena Moriarty, former Witch Queen, and of course, Frederic Casentino.

A man who was still the King in the Full Moon Kingdom that still contained a few hundred Werewolves, hiding in the forest or in the ruins of the old castle.

With the knowledge from Sangruil's library, and from those two old rulers, society was now rebuilt by Christopher into a new system.

Species, Lineage, Ancient Clans, Bloodlines, Past Influences, it all didn't matter.

If you were talented, if you were useful, you would rise in this society, and you would receive a reward directly from the Lord which was joining his special forces or, most of the time, being the power increase itself as he demonstrated on the Vampires when he came into Sangruil or how he performed on the Werewolves a few days ago.

In a nutshell, Christopher transformed the entire two kingdoms of night beings into a race of warriors that directly served under his blood, wings, and flag.

And despite having done that, he insisted on giving opportunities to everyone as well. After all, he understood that in such a society, all other beings that were not 'Warriors' would be exploited, and the society would not progress.

Greed and mockery are always present...

But, in his kingdom, there was room not only for Warriors but for beings who did or were better at something else as well.

Trading, upgrading, repairing or even making weapons, art design, building new houses or repairing the old ones, cleaning services, etc.

Even those beings who were interested in research and sought new ways to improve the Sangruil's meager technology were highly prized, mainly by Christopher who with each feat connected to research recalled memories of Rose, his beloved wife and a crazy genius.

Although not been with her for too long, Christopher understood that his wife was truly a genius.

Drinking her blood and unconsciously accumulating research techniques from her mind, he couldn't help but ponder upon how much in the future saw the mind of his Rose.

Seeing plans of architecture for future residences and buildings or documents and maps about unseen places in Redwilnet, Christopher took the first part of his memories and imprinted them into the minds of his workers, ordering them to strictly go step by step.

Soon after, the old-fashioned Sangruil started resembling more of a city from a new century than a medieval kingdom.

Of course, it still had the castle which Christopher loved very much but other buildings? Straight out from a future...

The second set of his memories, those about Redwilnet was passionately locked into his long-time memory, promising he would look more into them in his free time or when he returned.

Anyway, although not everything in the streets of Sangruil was rosy, beings of the night, at the end of the day, are still beings of the night, beings that are seen as the negative aspect of the Supernatural world.

Vampires or others who had gotten stronger were often seen abusing weaker ones, and those who had gained influence were often seen taking advantage of those who hadn't.

To prevent this kind of thing from happening too much, a place for dealing with this kind of problem was built with other buildings as well, and duels to solve those problems were quickly created in that place.

Duels, 1 x 1 were made to settle this issue once and for all.

Surprisingly, this idea was very successful, and the occurrence of beings abusing their new authority went down.

The reason for this was that when someone lost in that place, in the Arena resembling the Rome Colosseum called 'The Hole' when such a duel was held, the being who lost usually forfeited his influence and position to the one who won, as well as a significant percentage of their own raw power.

Something that, in their opinion, was very bad. Being close to the new Lord was something of immense pride, mainly for the Vampires of Sangruil, and when the individual lost their status, position, and mainly power, their rank dropped and their position went further away from the Lord.

Another thing that happened was that 'The Hole', which resembled a Greek or Rome arena a little, became a frequent meeting place for bloodthirsty beings who liked to fight, came into Sangruil as guests and traders and wanted to try it, or just wanted to start living in Sangruil and test the waters of the new future-like City.

Christopher even decided to give 'prizes' for events that took place there, after Merener told him about how frequent it is when Christopher came back from one of the 'walks' around Frederic's territory. As long as the request was acceptable, the winner would get anything they wanted.

Immediately, five new duels were held there after the reward system was announced to the citizens, proving how great this idea was.

Such a place matched the night being's mentality quite well and spawned even several more, small jobs for the citizens as a result of the Hole's growth in popularity.

An example of this was Vampires who were good chefs in the past and liked their 'hobby'.

All of them began to live their dream, meaning opening small companies with their names on them and offering food made from crystalized blood to the citizens who came to watch the fight.

Even when all the food tasted the same, it was pretty popular.

Another example was Vampires who could shapeshift into bats and had the ability to travel very fast, faster than the regular shapeshifters. They were weaker beings than those who knew how to fight, but... They were the perfect examples of delivery services that work on Earth.

They traveled to even the farthest corners of Sangruil and The Full Moon Kingdom, and due to years spent developing this technique, they knew their homeland inside and out.

Surprisingly, these Vampires were becoming like a company selling products and delivering goods in the north and west regions of Aragos, and they were getting very rich.

Not everyone lived in the main city so for those who didn't, these boys came with announcements a few days sooner so everyone could see the bloodbath called 'Duel.'

They were also the Vampires who were the first who come into contact with Christopher and were most fanatical of the new Lord, claiming that such an opportunity would not arise if Christopher did not rise to power.

Thus, due to these matters and several others…

The change in the north and west society of Aragos was surprisingly smooth, and there weren't many complaints.

The night beings were finally 'modernizing' this old-fashioned planet, and even the Sangruil's fields that were abandoned due to different monsters living near Saigia forest were becoming more... living.

Instead of leaving this free land abandoned, the Spiders took their chances, with Christopher's approvement of course, and started working in these fields as farmers, giving life to a special type of food that, when mixed with some other ingredients from Saigia forest, even Vampires can eat it without throwing up, which latter, they began to sell to the Vampire chefs and those food-related companies so the Hole gained more food for the fans to eat, welcoming Spiders and Werewolves more as well.

Thanks to the Spiders' extra limbs, the production was even more effective and the Sangruil kingdom became suddenly, really wealthy.

Along with his five brides who gained the nicknames: Hissami, the Snake Queen, Anna and Samantha, the deadly spirit sisters, Melissa and Ariane, the spider-riders of Apocalypse, and his right hand, Merener, and left hand, Frederic, who started being called The Blade and Claw of Sangruil, everything worked splendidly.

This group even started being called the Sangruil's Royalty or the Royal Blood Family.

Christopher had full control of the north and west regions of Aragos in his hands which means, he practically owned the upper half of Aragos while the Light Queen only owned the lower half of her kingdom now.

And with each day, new individuals were coming and joining Christopher's forces or mindset.

Christopher himself started being called by three names which were 'the most handsome Lord that Aragos could have gained' but it was too long so some started calling him 'The Incubus of Sangruil' and 'The Light Queen's opposite'.

Apparently, those titles were born from Christopher's and his Royal family's actions.

Hissami is pretty sneaky and most of the time, she can disappear in front of everyone and appear in other places without them even sensing it or seeing it.

Thanks to her Yokai snake origin and connections to the Darkness as its EX-subordinate, she is pretty explosive, and if someone, mainly females, would look at Christopher with desire or bad intentions, mainly males, she will act like a true cobra.

In short, she will transform herself into a giant, fifty-meter-long snake and will hunt the individual down, bringing him/her to her Lord's feet for execution which most of the time happens only with the males.

Females are left without big charges because all is happening due to their desire to possess their Lord.

The biggest 'punishment' they could have received is cleaning the castle which they gladly do because then, they are even closer to their Lord, and their obsessiveness, and fanaticism are literally glowing.

Often happens that Christopher is calmly walking through his castle with a knowing smile while he feels countless gazes from the ceiling, corners, or ground on him.

But, he's not gonna lie, it's a pleasant feeling from him. Which man would hate seductive gazes from countless beautiful women who are head over heels for them, right?

Samantha and Anna are the calmest of the group and because of their spirit nature and beauty, every enemy that survived the well-known killing spree of Melissa and Ariane or wants Christopher's place is trying to target them into thinking they can lure the new Lord into a trap. But, Samantha and Anna are not as fragile as they seem to be, because every attempt of kidnapping them ends in a bloodbath from which Samantha and Anna walk somehow without a single wound.

As the saying goes, the most silent types are the most deadly ones...

And last but not least are Melissa and Ariane. Most of the time when these two crazy fanatics are facing someone who is not Christopher, or their Royal Family members, their faces are stoic and emotionless but when someone clearly disrespects their Lord in front of them, the two will personally visit the individual's territory and sink the entire place in deadly blows, destroying it entirely, which gave them the title of the Spider-Riders of the Apocalypse.

And the last individuals are Merener who recently joined Frederic Casentino himself.

These two became good friends and the citizens started calling them the Blade and Claw of Sangruil because every time some fights happened or the laws were broken, these two appeared and pointed their weapons at the individuals together. Frederic uses the upgraded claws he gained from the transformation Christopher granted him, while Merener uses his black-bladed katana, the precious gift from his Lord.

The five brides with a very charming but mysterious Witch in charge, about whom everyone knows almost nothing, and two strong 'weapons of Sangruil' are very loyal to the Lord, and any insult to the Lord himself could have very serious consequences, something that is shared by all the beings that 'follows' Christopher in his beginnings.

These men and women were fanatics, and they glorified the name of Christopher Salvatore as if he were a God of the new world.

The popularity of these thoughts grew with each passing day thanks to his actions which were saving the Werewolf society from their doom, releasing the Spiders from their tyrant King's hands, and saving the Vampires from their health issues and possible death.

Every action reacts and this is the reaction Christopher was getting.

Thousands of fanatics are right behind the door of his castle while another hundred are right inside the castle.

Even Selena started feeling something towards her new disciple who saved her from the ultimate death blow she received from Lucy who is now one of Christopher's loyal puppets.

Anyway, yes, as a former human, Christopher didn't know how to feel about the entire 'God title' and things related to it. He didn't expect the citizens' fanaticism to grow so much that it would lead them to call him by that name.

'Well, most of my citizens still call me Lord, but a few times, I heard someone say Lord and then mumble God of something. Sadly that I don't know which concept I own as God, hahaha~' Christopher chuckled as he tried to be ignorant of that fact, and tried not to care too much but it's interesting for him that from being called a mere human around three months ago, he became called a God.

...

Entering a room, Christopher looked at three men sitting on black chairs with golden decorations, awaiting him.

"My apologies gentleman. I had something urgent to take care of." Christopher said as he eyed each one of his guests and continued.

"So you must be the betrayals of the Royal Capital... am I right? " Christopher spoke with a knowing smile as he walked past them elegantly in his aristocratic clothes and sat on the other side of the table, on a bigger chair that resembled his throne a little.

The meeting room was lit up with candles from a big, crystal chandelier that was hanging from the ceiling above the table, and behind Christopher was a pair of three high windows from which a red moonlight was coming through, landing on the back of Christopher's throne and the ground around him while Christopher's face was hidden in the shadow of this throne that somehow darkened like the light was not his perfect habitat.

"Yes, my Lord," spoke one of them and bowed.

"Hahahahaha, I'm not your Lord, Knight. Someone should have taught you manners when speaking with a person like me," Christopher responded with a deep arrogant voice but then showed a sadistic smile that sent shivers through the three Knight's bodies.

"Tell me, knight..." Christopher placed his hands with sharp nails on the table, scratching it a little, and then crossed the fingers of his hands in front of him as two tentacles with snake heads and bodies made from black mist formed from his back.

Their heads were above Christopher's shoulders, moving hypnotically and the only thing visible was their yellow glowing eyes looking at the Knights and mouths of sharp, white long teeth.
