As Lyle and his group left Galehaven behind, their unease only deepened as the contrast between the vibrant lands that were present from the border to Galehaven, with plenty of refuges present, and the seemingly abandoned and desolate landscape that was present where they were now, painted a grim picture.
There was something wrong with the beauty of the landscape they were traversing, the land filled with rolling hills, lush forests, and clear rivers was seemingly tainted by knowledge of the corruption that could be anywhere.
Villages that should have been lively with activity were eerily silent, their inhabitants either hidden away in their homes or simply gone.
