Lyle and Nicholas exchanged a knowing glance at the mention of the Grand Elder's involvement. They didn't expect him to have already done something like this, but it was not out of their expectations either.
"We are grateful for your trust and assistance, Lord," Lyle said, offering a respectful nod. "Rest assured, we do not intend to cause any trouble during our time here, in fact, we will be leaving shortly."
The city lord nodded in acknowledgment, his expression still serious but with a hint of curiosity in his eyes. "I trust you will uphold that promise, now, if there is anything else you require, do not hesitate to ask."
