Nicholas nodded in agreement. "We need to find a route that avoids any potential conflicts or dangers."
"Our priority is to reach the neighboring empire safely and without drawing too much attention to ourselves."
Lyle scanned the map they had obtained, tracing possible routes with his finger. "We could head north, through the mountains. It's a rough terrain, but it should provide cover from prying eyes."
Nicholas considered the suggestion. "It's risky, but it might be our best option, from there, we can make our way east, it shouldn't take us that long to reach the border."
"We'll need to move quickly and quietly, however, avoiding any major settlements along the way, if we need to get something, then we should only send one or two people in a settlement so that we leave fewer traces behind."
