As they followed the guidance of the item, Nicholas and Lyle ventured deeper into the forest, the dense foliage creating a canopy that blocked out much of the sunlight. The air was thick with the sounds of the forest, the chirping of birds, the rustling of leaves, and the occasional howl of a distant beast.
Those sounds became sparser and sparser as they got closer to the person that Nicholas was trying to find until there was seemingly nothing but silence all around them, even the wind had stopped blowing and dared not make the leaves rustle.
After a short while, they came upon a small clearing where a figure stood waiting. It was a tall, imposing figure, dressed in robes that seemed to shimmer with an otherworldly light. His back was turned to Lyle and Nicholas, who walked forward with a grin on his face.
"You've returned, boy." The person standing in front of Lyle and Nicholas said as Nicholas chuckled.
