Lyle's smirk widened at Iodel's defiant response. Despite his newfound control over Iodel, there was a hint of uncertainty in his eyes. He knew that commanding someone who had once been his enemy wouldn't be without its challenges, after all, he was controlling Harrison.
Of course, to compare Iodel to Harrison was not quite fair as Iodel was many times more difficult to manage as he was much more powerful than Harrison.
"Ah, but I believe we've already been there, haven't we?" Lyle replied with a touch of amusement. "But enough banter. It's time to discuss your new role."
Iodel clenched his fists, his jaw set with determination. He refused to bow down to Lyle's authority, even if his body was currently under the vampire's control. Deep within him, a flicker of rebellion burned brightly.
With his violet energy and the inheritance he had gotten, he was able to somewhat go against Lyle's orders, but it was still not enough.
