The master scout then nodded in agreement, and the elves set to work, meticulously copying the unfamiliar regions from the map onto their own parchment. Nicholas and Lyle watched with interest as the elves worked, marveling at their precision and skill.
It would take some time for them to copy everything, so during that time, Lyle, Nicholas, and the others took a walk around the city, with a couple of elven guards escorting them, both in order to show them interesting parts of the city, and to be there in case they try anything.
The architecture of the city was truly something else.
The buildings were constructed from living branches and vines, woven together to create intricate patterns and designs. Each structure seemed to grow organically from the earth, with no clear distinction between where nature ended and elven craftsmanship began.
