Safira felt as if someone had set her ablaze while stabbing her with daggers. It was torture.
Archer looked around him, trying to find something that could help. In the distance, he could hear the rustling of leaves. He turned back to look at Safira. She was in no condition to continue with their escape. They had to stand their ground.
So, Archer shifted into his wolf form and stood in front of Safira protectively. No matter who his foe was going to be, he was going to fight till the end. He would protect Safira till his dying breath.
"Archer… save yourself," Safira said. Her vision was beginning to blur but she didn't give up.
She did everything she could to remain conscious. But the pain combined with fatigue was creeping up on her. It weighed her down. She could barely move her body.
"Don't be ridiculous," he replied as he kept a keen eye on the rustling bushes as the mystery wolf got closer and closer, "I'm not about to leave you behind."
