Chapter 2 - Finding out the truth(1)

On my 18th birthday, I woke up to find out that I got a letter that said if I was a warlock or hunter and it said that I was a warlock. "Lily, start packing your bags. You won't tell anyone that you are a warlock at school today. I'll explain everything when you get back." My parents said.

"Geez! Fine Mom and Dad. I won't be telling anybody but you better explain everything to me when I get back." I replied.

"Fine, just go to school now. You will be late for your classes." My mom said. She drove me off to school as always when my dad went to work. We parted ways as she went to work and I went inside the school, I bumped into my best friend Lucia.

"Hi, Lucia! How are you? Did you get your letter in the mail today? How's your family doing?" I said.

"Hi, Lily! I am fine thank you, what about you? Yes, since it is our 18th birthday, I did get my letter in the mail today. Nothing so special going on with me. My family is doing well." Lucia replied.

"I am fine too Lucia. It's good to hear that your family is fine and everything is alright with you at home. Well, let's get going we don't wanna be late for class and get detention." I said.

"Yes, we better get going to class." Lucia replied.

We went to our first class which was history. We learned about countries, how their past was, and so on. After that, we had mathematics then, we enjoyed our time in recess. It felt like school ended pretty quickly today but the school didn't end early, it ended an hour late actually. But I forgot that I was going to find out the truth today...

My mom picked me up from school and we just casually talked about our day on the way home as usual. "You know you have to pack your bags and you will learn something new today." My mom said.

"Oh yeah, I completely forgot about that. I will start packing my suitcase just as we get home. But, I am excited to learn the truth today when we get back home." I said.

"The truth is NOT FUN. You won't be happy to know the truth. Just letting you know you will be going somewhere far, very far away from here where there will be no peace and you will not be able to come back until you meet your soulmate." My mom replied.

"Mom, I'm very excited to be meeting my soulmate soon but I will be missing you and Dad so much. I will also be experiencing adulthood for the first time in my life and I am very nervous and hope nothing goes wrong." I replied sadly. I was sad but very excited to be meeting my soulmate.

"I and your dad will also miss you so much too. We wish you the best." My mom said. Just as she said that we reached back home. My father was coming back from work in an hour and then we would have dinner and I would be learning the truth. Until then I had to start packing my suitcases.
