Reis stood before his father. Both of them with blades unsheathed prepared to face each other.
"And now Reis, it's time for you to inherit the ultimate forte of the Dragonha?rt Fencing Style. The forte named 'With my Life'" Sir Jinrai said calmly.
"How are you going to pass it on to me dad? I know it's passed directly from the soul of the master to the soul of the student but gramps never told me how it was done" Reis said.
"Are you familiar with the saying 'when two swordsmen clash swords, they are able to feel the heart of the other through the blade?'" Reis' father asked him.
"Gramps always repeated that saying to me" Reis said.
"Some things cannot be communicated with words. You need to feel them to comprehend them. You are quite experienced in that area for when you fought Aurora while under Armageddon's influence, you taught her the Dragon Parry" Sir Jinrai said.
"So once more, I will clash my blade against yours with all that I am. You should do the same" Reis' father said.
Reis nodded.
"The forte will reveal our combined knowledge to each other as our lives themselves become our weapon" Sir Jinrai said.
"Yes dad!" Reis nodded and charged towards Sir Jinrai.
They clashed blades the first time and a tremendous resonance occurred throughout Benedict's Ark. Reis could feel it, the weight of his father's blade, the weight of someone who had everything to lose. Sir Jinrai felt the same from Reis' blade.
Meanwhile, Ryu stood in Kolmnid Forest confronting Tristran.
"What did you just do Ryuujinn?" Tristran questioned.
"What do you mean?" Ryu asked.
"Don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about. Galigaos' presence has just been extinguished from the Ark and several of Ryugaeia's infiltration points have been sealed off" Tristran said.
"Should you really be telling me about your infiltration points?" Ryu asked.
"It wouldn't make much of a difference if you are already aware of them" Tristran said confidently.
"That's quite the gamble you're making Tristran" Ryu said calmly. "So tell me…why have you decided to infiltrate the Ark?" Ryu asked.
"I'm certain you're aware of the reason for that as well Ryuujinn. Besides, you said earlier on that you're not so naïve you'd believe anything I said" Tristran said.
"Yet you decided to talk anyway so I don't really see your point" Ryu said.
"Fine then, I am aware of the Academy's Sacred Hall, the heart of the Academy from which your power Ryuujinn flows into all the worlds connected to the Academy. It is also the reason why there is a certain established limit to the number of infiltration points I can create linking the Ark to the worlds my influence is strongest in" Tristran said.
"I see, so by extinguishing the power of the Sacred Hall, you believe you will now be able to create an infinite number of infiltration points and you came here to nicely ask under the impression that I'd just let you do this?" Ryu narrowed his eyes on the last few words.
Tristran temporarily backed away in fear.
"Unfortunately for you Tristran, your plan will never come to fruition and not necessarily due to any interference from me. The Sacred Hall Of Ryuujinn is something you could never see even if it were right in front of you. It is after all antithetical to your nature" Ryu said seriously.
As Ryu and Tristran continued to confront one another in Kolmnid Forest, Ryu's Shadow Of Jinn stood before the Thirteenth Gate solving the puzzles that would unlock the Gate and release the power of the Sacred Hall.
"What's the insignia of the Ark?" the next question asked.
"The Rainbow" Ryu replied.
"What does this insignia symbolize?" the next question asked.
"It symbolizes those the Ark exists to protect, that though they are different from one another and unique, they share a common destiny in very much the same way the seven colours of the Rainbow form a single arc" Ryu replied.
Another lock unbolted from behind the Gate. More words appeared.
"Match the Eight Elements that form the Heart that Destroys Darkness to their symbolisms" the next question asked.
"Strong/A father's strength; Weak/A mother's love; Broken/Wisdom, Whole/Light, Origins/ Alpha, Endings/Omega, Human/Earth, Divine/Heaven" Ryu matched the elements to what they signify.
Another lock unbolted from behind the Ark.
As the power of the Sacred Hall was gradually being released, the Students aboard the Ark gradually increased in strength and Reis' clash with his father allowed him to glimpse fragments of the Sacred Hall's power that connected with his homeworld of Ryugaeia.
