Chapter 3 - Wedding Plan

When Emma came out of the bathroom, the maid had already placed separate meals on the table.

Emma was the most conscientious person Austin had ever met. She is very controlling of her diet. Since childhood, Austin has never seen her without makeup.

Looking at the low-calorie food, Austin subconsciously looked up after a moment of lowering his head. He noticed that Emma was also shrouded in black mist, but it was not as deep as Alta's.

Austin did not know what to do, but when he saw the three people joking and laughing, he quickly lost his appetite.

"Austin, wait a minuteโ€“"

"I have something to do," said Austin.

Ryan's unfinished words were interrupted by Austin, and the man was stunned for a moment before he frowned and said, "What's wrong?"

"I'm not feeling well, I'm going to the hospital."

"He's quite temperamental today." said a voice.

Ryan looked at Austin's back with dissatisfaction.

After a series of examinations at the hospital, doctors informed Austin that his eyes were okay. Austin nodded and went to the nearest psychology clinic.

It took two days to know the results of the psychological evaluation. When Austin walked out of the building, it was getting late. He did not want to return to the house, which made him feel sick. Austin ate outside and sat in the restaurant for a while. It took hours on the way home.

It was late at night when he got home. As he had expected, Ryan was still sitting on the sofa in the living room waiting for him.

"Austin, come here, I want to tell you something." said the man.

Austin sat beside him without saying a word. Ryan coughed and said, "Have you been busy with work recently?"

Austin did not like doing business, and he had long noticed that Ryan and Emma were interested in letting Alta inherit the family business. Therefore, after graduating from university, he became an English teacher at a well-known private elementary school in New York.

Knowing that Ryan did not say anything, Austin just shook his head.

"Then. Do you have a boyfriend?"

In his sophomore year of high school, Austin was honest with them about his sexual orientation. Thinking of the look of hatred on Ryan's face then, Emma could not contain her excitement, but she still shook her head expressionlessly.

"Wilson Group, you know, right? Executive President Lucas and Vice President Lionel, both are grandfather and grandson. Just like you, Lionel also likes men." After a pause, Ryan added, "If possible, I'd like to introduce you two."

Because of that, Austin finally looked at Ryan.

His eyes were sharp as if Austin could see through all of the man's thoughts. Ryan was helpless and sighed before he said, "Actually, Mr. Lucas thinks you are good. You also know what kind of power and wealth their families have in America. Lucas was worried that others would deceive Lionel, so he came across something like this, which is similar to a blind date. It just so happens that you do not have a boyfriend."

"Why don't you meet him first?"

As if to increase the credibility of his words, Ryan added, "Don't worry, Mr. Lucas and I have spoken very clearly that if the grandson thinks you two are a match for each other, don't mind you, the marriage will take place."

"And he also asked for your date of birth. Father already gave, then the fortune teller said you are suitable to marry him."

Ryan spoke for a long time, and when the man regained consciousness, he realized that Austin had not said a word since he had entered the door. Ryan felt that his emotional level was good, but at this moment, he could not help but be a little angry and put his hand on his waist. He said, "Austin, I have talked to you a lot. Shouldn't you tell me what you think?"

Austin just leaned back on the sofa and stared at him.

There was a calm in the young man's eyes, and the two looked at each other for a few seconds. Ryan was defeated, thinking about Austin's gentle and not stubborn character. He had to soften his tone and said, "There are some things I can't tell you. It is because I am afraid that you will worry about me."

"Austin, the family business is in trouble. At this rate, I'm afraid we'll be bankrupt in a few months. Mr Lucas told me that if you agreed to marry Lionel, he would consider injecting capital into our family's Plastic Factory."

Austin sneered inwardly, thinking the man had finally revealed his true purpose.

There was an unbearable silence in the room. Ryan, who lowered his head, did not notice Austin's oddity and said, "Even though it embarrasses you, the plastic factory is the result of your mother, and I am hard work, and I do not want to see it disappear like this."

"I'm going to meet the man," said Austin.

Austin chose to leave after that.

Looking at Austin's back, Ryan just felt that the kid was foreign to him that day, cold and domineering, and he did not seem to respect him enough. But when Ryan thought that Austin had finally achieved what he wanted, he could not help but feel a little excited. Then he raised his voice and said, "I will make a promise for you!"

On Austin's bedside table was the milk Aunt Hana had warmed for him. Seeing the old woman pulling the curtains over the window, Austin closed the door and said, "Aunt Hana, do you know how my mother died?"

Aunt Hana stopped what she was doing, and Austin noticed that the woman's face was pale when she turned around. After hesitating, she said shyly, "Austin, I came here after your mother died."

"No, Aunt Hana. You must have heard something. You are the only one in the family who has been very kind to me, so even if you pity me, you can tell me what you know, okay?"

Through her cousin, Aunt Hana learns that the Jones family are recruiting an assistant, and after an interview, she becomes Austin's nanny.

Aunt Hana watched Austin grow up since he was little, and she had always been sympathetic to him, so after hearing what Austin had to say, she walked over to him and sat down without saying a word.

For many years, she had always hoped that Austin would find out about these things, but subconsciously, she felt that these things would cause Austin a significant loss.

Years ago, Aunt Hana had secretly made up her mind, thinking that unless Austin discussed it in private one day, she would never tell the child in this life.

Aunt Hana's thoughts were relatively simple, and she felt it was better for her to do such a thing than to let others tell him.

"Austin, my good cousin tells these things. Even though she was a servant before, I don't know if what she said is true or not."

"Don't worry Aunt Hana, I'll let someone investigate this matter."

Austin did not want his mother to die in vain and did not want to hurt a good person.

Or, in his heart, there was still a glimmer of hope, thinking that his father would not be so cruel to his mother.

"Before I came, your father fired all the servants in this family. Not long after your mother died, my cousin told me that three months after your mother gave birth to you, Emma came looking for her once, she was already pregnant at that time, and according to the woman, the child was your father's."

Seeing Austin not speaking, Aunt Hana added, "They were fighting a lot at that time, and your mother asked all the maids in the house to come out. When they heard Emma's screams and rushed in, Emma was already on the first floor with blood coming out of her lower body. And your mother was standing on the second floor watching."

"They think my mother pushed Emma down the first floor?"

"Not only that, Emma also said the same thing when she woke up," said Aunt Hana.
