Chapter 31 - The guard of the booth.

The deadline was met and Martín entered the large parking lot of the Gaiatt Hotel in that Gaiatt square half an hour before, but ignored the tourist area, to go to another office building that was opposite; Angela watched him approach from the fifth floor and couldn't help but signal her companion Luz to turn to the window and say.

- It's here for whom you were crying!

-It's him? –asks Luz María incredulously. - Will he come to this company or to any of the construction?

Martín was already approaching the security guard's booth at the reception booth of the Latin American Hydrocarbons Company, and when he told him that he had an appointment scheduled at 11:00 a.m. that day, the doorman told him.

"You arrive a few minutes early sir, but that's fine; Can you provide me with your sea passport and your updated credentials?

Martín was discouraged by this question, because he did not have those updates, much less that marine passport.

-They are in process and the person who saw my resume knows it, that's why he scheduled this interview for me.

Martín says lying to pass that filter and be able to access the interview, and later he would think about how to get those requirements.

- If you don't bring them then I can't let it go sir! –says the doorman closing the reception window.

Martín lamented the fact, but insisted by touching the window to what the goalkeeper already badly faced opened for him.

-Do me the favor of allowing me to go to my appointment, I assure you that those documents are in process and I really need the job, I am not from here; Could you give me a chance to be evaluated? I can occupy categories in drilling.

- Look pal! I don't care where you're from, or who you are, or your category, or title, but my orders are not to let anyone pass without their credentials updated, plus I do not have any interview scheduled for today, and so I can least let you in. -says the doorman and closes the window again violently.

Martín felt annoyed by losing that opportunity and made the attempt to leave, but reconsidered taking out his cell phone to try to convince the doorman once again, showing him the number he had been called and the time, first tried to dial the number to contact the person who had called him, But a switch answered, asking for extension numbers that were not known, and insisted by touching the window repeatedly, until it opened, already very badly faced.

-Sorry for the inconvenience friend, but I can show you the cell phone number from which I was called 2 hours ago so you can check that there must be an error.

- Let's see, pass me your papers! –says the doorman already visibly Angry.

And Martín who thought he had already convinced him, confidently took out of his backpack his curriculum and some copies of letters of recommendation, which he had from the companies where he had worked more than 7 years ago, and when he gave them to the doorman, he pretended to review them and ended up breaking them into 4 parts to return them through the window.

-None of this is useful without your updated credentials. –he said, closing it again with a mocking smile.

Martín decided not to insist on insolence and furious he retired, although he wanted to break the aluminum gates and the window to take the doorman through it, he restrained himself because he thought it was not worth returning to prison because of an imbecile like that.
