When the door swung open Melissa expected to see Faye with an armful of snacks however, instead she saw a slightly taller, slightly older version of her Ex- Girlfriend standing still as the day in the middle of the kitchen. Her body was lean and toned, Her blue eyes appeared to be glowing in anger, her jaw set and her teeth clenched tightly.
Èlucidé's was pissed. So, so pissed. It had been 3 days since she last left this place, her patience and control stretched to its thinnest by being so close to so many people. Unsure if it was because or despite her refusal to give into her grandfather he kept her locked in her quarters and constantly baraged her with people from her past and its not like sge could escape. He was watching her like a hawk.
Melissa felt her body reacting before her mind could catch up an uncomfortable feeling surged through her body. She frowned as she stared at the linoleum floor, Her heart swelled strongly as she looked back up at the girl finding those blue eyes on her. Both girls were frozen in place as they stared at each other until Mason's awkward cough pulled them out of it. Melissa glanced over at him as he frowned at the other girl.
"Èlucidé, are you okay?" He asked worriedly.
Melissa returned her attention to the girl across the room, focusing on the warm tingling feeling spreading through her chest. Her frown only deepened as her heart thudded against her ribcage. The feeling of being complete nearly knocked her off her feet, stumbling and catching herself on the corner of the counter in front of her. It was as if a sharp stab had been made directly to her heart. splitting her heart in two then the two halves of her heart slammed back together again. It was disconcerting as the pain vanished and only the soft feeling of happiness remained. Every nerve ending, every vein, every fiber of her being shattered into a million pieces while at the same time reforming stronger than it had been before. she felt her mind shift and everything that had mattered before, didn't anymore.
'No, not her, please no. Tell me that Èlucidé Amethyst is not my mate.' Tears filled her eyes at the overwhelming comfort she felt as her eyes snapped up to the girl across the room. Melissa's confusion swirled in her mind and she felt her fangs length, with the sudden need to sink her teeth into the woman.
Mason's head snapped in her direction as the air shimmered and Faye appeared in front of her.
"Mel, calm down." she grabbed the shorter girl's arms tightly, stopping her urge to blur across the room.
Everything was too much. The sudden feeling of being complete, the anger, the pain. Her ex being her mate. It was all too much for her to handle.
