Basil said, " I will explain the mission."
I nodded. Basil walked toward the table, he signalled me to come.
He pointed at the area and said, " This place is our base. We are near the darkland right now where the battle takes place. Our mission is not to fight in the war."
He pointed at another area, " Our goal is to go to this place and crushed the supporting enemy. So our mission is to destroy the upcoming enemy."
I nodded. It will be hard to kill the entire army of demons all by myself but I have a team. Our team will have a powerful fighter. So, I didn't mind fighting.
Basil took out the sword from his ring, and give it to me. " Here. I heard from Rita that you don't have a sword."
I took the sword and said, " Thanks."
" Don't thank me yet before you hear your role in this mission."
I place the sword on the table and listen.
" The enemy troupe have a strong demon. Our team will not have a chance to defeat that demon. We can't bring a lot of people on this mission. Only five people will do the mission. Rita and you will kill as many demons as possible while the rest of the team will stop that demon from attacking."
I don't expect the mission difficulty to raise this much. Killing the entire troupe with two people. I have an area-effect attack but my lightning doesn't kill people if I had to increase the range.
Basil laughed, " Don't worry about the mission. The hardest part is how we are going to escape from the demon. Killing minions is a lot easy. We will leave this base tomorrow so take a nice rest."
I nodded, " Where is my place?"
"A soldier is waiting in front of this tent. He will guide you to your place."
I take the sword and leave.
The soldier in a mask is waiting. He saw me coming out of the room and approach me. " Sir, I will be your guide."
And he went to the nearby, I followed. After entering the building, we stopped at the door, which have the number 5 written on it.
He gave me the key and leave.
Without wasting any time, I put in the key and open the door. Inside the room was normal. Nothing special but on the bed, I see a set of clothes. A full black set.
I put the clothes away from the bed. And take put the sword. The weight is a little bit light but I can manage it. I can see the sharpness of the sword.
In the upcoming battle, my role is to kill many demons. So I need speed and a strong attack. I don't know how strong the demon is holding back.
If that demon is stronger than those three people, it will be a disaster. I can't trust anyone.
I collected energy and slept.

Morning, I arrived at the tent. I don't know why I go there. Basil doesn't say anything about the meeting.
Last night, I sleep a lot. I have gathered a lot of energy in my core. I am now in top condition. I don't know how strong the demon but I am confident that I can escape from it.
Near the tent, I see a group of people. Some familiar faces like Rita and Basil.
Basil saw me coming, he smiled at me.
" Everyone, I am sure you all know who is this person. His name is Lucian, and his ability is lightning. He will be paired with Rita. Although he almost killed our teammate Clao, do not make a conflict in this team. I am sure some people are unsatisfied with him."
he looked at the woman with a warning look.
" I don't want any trouble in the team. That is all I have to say, we will leave this place in 30 minutes."
Basil left.
Rita approached me, she looked at me. " Hey."
I say hello as well. I asked, " What is your ability?"
Rita nodded, " My ability is the same as my sister's. Ice."
" I see. You can freeze the ground and I will kill the frozen demons with my speed. Or do you have any plans?"
Rita shakes her head, " No."
" Hey." A voice interprets our conversation. I looked at the person.
He is the man I met when I arrived at the tent. The gentle aura remained the same.
He extended his hand. I shake it. " I am Horace. Nice to meet you again."
Before I even said another word, he left.
" That is a strange guy."
Rita nodded. She's standing beside me this whole time. The other two left the moment Basil leaves.
Only the two of us are left here. Rita said, " Let's meet here in 30 minutes."
She also left. I don't want to go back to my room so I stay here.
After 30 minutes, all of them arrived. This time they wear the same clothes as me. Not the same as mine because they have different colour strip on their arms.
Basil has the colour white. Horace has red. The other woman and man have a grey pattern. Rita has blue.
It seems like the colour represents their ability. That is my assumption because Rita's ability is Ice and the colour of water and ice is mostly associated with blue.
But I reject this theory because I don't have any colour.
Basil said, " We will take the monster path. This path has a lot of monsters but we will arrive at our destination within a few days. Follow me."
With that words, we left this camp.
We go to the dark forest. I see a war happening from the opposite side of ours. I can hear the war cry and agony pain.
We go in the opposite direction of the war. The war is taking place in the fact area, we go to the forest to cover our mission.
The forest is not like the forest I experienced before. It was dark as the name suggested.
I was hoping to meet the monster as soon as we enter the forest but all we encounter is a large dark tree.
There is no colour except grey.
With our clothes, we blend into the environment quite well. Basil is leading the team. His speed is not fast or slow. I believe that he is holding back.
Roar.
We heard the monster howl.
Basil takes out the sword. White sword, all white.
Suddenly he disappeared and come back here. Now his white sword has blood dripping. As we run, we see the corpse of a strange monster, a meatball.
The corpse is like a meatball.
