Inside the castle,
A woman and a boy were sitting in front of each other, staring daggers at the 'person' sitting in front of them. With a scowl on her face, Sefarina kept on staring at Wukong without saying a word. The smug look he had didn't help either.
"Oh come on, no need to give the stare. I already told you, that was solely due to luck, I'm sure If I do what I did again, you're going to realize what happened."
"Tch."
"*sigh* You know, while you still look beautiful with such expressions, I would love to look at you when you smile," Wukong said with a smile.
Hearing what he said, Sefarina blushed for a moment before going back to her usual expression. 'I guess women truly love genuine compliments no matter who they are.'
"You must have quite a lot of women in your harem by now with that tongue of yours." Sefarina laid back on her chair and waved her hand, as a table appeared between the two with a semi-opaque red bottle and two glasses that seemed to have a shine of their own.
"Nope, not happening. I am a follower of the No-harem sect. We don't do that here. I don't think that's fair to the woman who'll give me her everything while she would have to share me." Wukong said with a sincere expression on his face.
Sefarina laughed and opened the bottle, releasing an aroma more divine than anything he had ever experienced.
"Brat! This is one of my most prized collections and one of the rewards you get for passing the trial. Though the effect significantly decreases after the first drink, it's captivating even without that. That system should be accessible to you now, seeing that you were gazing at an empty space after our fight."
Sefarina poured the drink with an elegance that was completely different from the way she talked. The drink itself was completely transparent other than a subtle luster, you even confuse it with water if not for the aroma it gave off.
Wukong picked up the drink Sefarina slid toward him with both hands and gave her a light bow.
"Hoo? No need for formalities, just savor it to your heart's content." *clink* "To your victory monkey!"
"To your mercy Dragon." Wukong raised his glass too and brought it to his lips right after. 'Wow, this is strong.' Wukong was sure, that after finishing his drink, he was going to have a pretty long nap.
"HAHAHAHA this is what I call a drink! Don't tell me you are already feeling dizzy monkey! Don't worry though, I won't get you drunk and take advantage of you, with that weak body of yours, you will break your bones before anything could even happen! HAHAHA"
"Ouch. Fuck you pervert dragon." 'My pride as a man just took a heavy hit.' As Wukong was thinking of a savage reply for the previous wound, the system's usual ping sounded in his ears.
[ Host has consumed an elixir. Calculating the effects.]
[The energy requirements for evolution have already been met. Energy will be stored until Host is capable enough to use it.]
[Does the host wish to commence evolution now?]
'Nope. Will do that later, just let me have a drink for now Sys.'
An hour later -
Wukong was leaning on Sefarina, sleeping like an infant who had just finished his meal. Looking at his face as he slept without a single care, the dragon remembered the man she had sworn to protect. Even though he didn't need her protection, and treated her as his equal, she willingly took him as her master.
'It's been too long, the feeling of nostalgia is quite bittersweet, you are both happy and sad, reminiscing the old memories. Out of all those who took this trial, he by far resembles him the most.'
"I hope you are happy wherever you are." With a sad smile on her face, Sefarina got up and moved Wukong to a bed and tucked him in before going to the roof of the castle with a bottle and a glass in her hand.
1 day later -
*yawn* "That was a good sleep. I need more of that drink for research purposes."
After doing some stretches and warming himself up, Wukong walked out of the room he was sleeping.
"Looks like you had a good sleep monkey." A voice came from behind him, but instead of getting shocked or flinching, Wukong just sighed and spoke in a serene but heavy voice.
"Yeah, I did, thanks to you. Do you want to have some breakfast? I make decent pancakes." 'I am already used to mum popping up randomly.'
"Ohh sure! Are you good at cooking monkey?"
"Just call me Wukong dragon. I have a name and yes I can cook a little bit." 'Sys, can you please open the door to the portable kitchen, thank you.'
"Brat then stop calling me this dragon, that dragon! Just call me onee-sama!" Wukong just rolled his eyes at her and walked right into the sky-blue portal that had appeared out of nowhere signaling Sefarina to follow to him too.
In the past 17 years, Wukong had received numerous things from the system, one of them being a Modern portable kitchen. Though it was quite stupid to call it a portable kitchen, as it was a kitchen in a different dimension connected to the system.
After having chocolate pancakes for breakfast, Wukong and Sefarina were sitting on a couch, with a cup of coffee.
"Thank you for the meal monkey! It was a delightful breakfast."
Wukong just raised his eyebrow, listening to her speaking in a graceful tone. "I can never get used to listening to you speak like this. It's much more comfortable when you speak like a punk."
"..."
"Listen here you little shit-"
Wukong just smiled and ignored her, focusing on his coffee.
