Adrian stammered as he heard Mello's comment, but Clara brought up a different subject before he could say something.
"Mello, how about you go and study now? Do you not have an exam coming up soon? Mama is tired and wants to sleep."
With his thoughts drifting away from the previous questions, Mello glanced in Clara's direction and nodded. "All right, I will take my leave," he said, getting down on his knees and planting kisses on Clara's cheeks and stomach before turning to leave.
After Mello left, Adrian looked away as soon as Clara glared at him.
"Adrian, you are showing signs of increasing shamelessness. How can you say something like that in front of Mello? You are aware of his insatiable curiosity about everything." After reprimanding her, Clara kept eating the donut until she was done.
