"She surely underestimated you. Happy that you kept a backup to silence her mouth," Nathalie complimented Regina, who ate her food quietly.
"But I wonder where the file must have gone. Do you recall having it on your desk the other night?" Nathalie asked, stopping Regina from devouring another bite.
Regina was also trying to recall if she had misplaced the file because, despite searching all over, she was unable to locate it.
"I remember keeping it on my desk before departing the office. But I was unable to find it anywhere when I looked for it."
Slumping back in her chair, Nathalie sank into her thoughts.
Regina also went silent, thinking back on what had happened yesterday, but no matter how hard she tried to recall, all she could remember was the file being put on her desk.
The duo finished eating their lunch and headed back to office.
