"Young Master" Adrian noticed the maid in front of him, and his steps halted.
"Madam is asking for your and Mr. Adler's presence in the dining room," she said and he dropped the idea of talking with Emily.
They soon joined the others for dinner, where they all enjoyed the meal and talked about random stuff.
Adrian watched intently as Clara consumed everything, checking in on her periodically. Fortunately, she consumed the food without experiencing nausea.
After the dinner, James and Abby returned home, while Adrian excused himself to his mother's room.
"Mom." His voice stopped her and she looked back, surprised to see Adrian standing by the door.
"Adrian, do you want something?" Edric asked his son.
"May I come in?" Adrian inquired while shifting his gaze between his parents, only for Emily to chuckle at his politeness.
"Of course, you can come in," she said and he walked inside.
