"Who would want to kill me?" Adrian muttered, turning his attention to Clara, and something clicked in their minds.
"Don't worry, the cops will find him soon." Edric's voice retreated from their thoughts, and they looked at him.
Edric had already informed the cops about the attack on his way to the company, and by now they might have started the investigation.
The name that popped into their minds was Derek, but Adrian was still doubtful whether Derek would come to harm him after the last warning.
Another hour passed and this time Emily woke up for real and the first person she looked for was Adrian.
"Thank God"
A sigh of relief escaped from Emily's lips after watching Adrian be safe, and she tried to push herself up.
Edric quickly rushed to her side and stopped her from moving.
"Don't move, you just had your surgery," he said and she stopped watching his furious eyes.
