"Of course, you can protect yourself, by looking into the bags. What the hell were you looking in that bag for, that you could not even tell someone was pursuing you?" Edric yelled.
He was now growing irritated with Emily's boldness in misinterpreting his remarks.
Edric had been genuinely worried for her safety, but she constantly took his words wrong and even argued back.
"Shh! Do not make noise," the nurses warned, peering inside the ward.
Both Emily and Edric pursed their lips and glanced awkwardly at each other.
After a minute of silence, Emily then climbed down the bed and stood. Picking up her phone and wallet from the side stand, she then turned to leave.
"Let me drop you home," Edric said as he followed her, however, she stopped.
"No thanks. I will go on my own." Emily refused to accept Edric's assistance and carried on on her own.
