Edric appeared exhausted as he made his way upstairs to his room.
As he was ready to step inside, a voice called to him from behind.
"Edric, where have you been all day?" Felix asked, closing the distance between them.
Edric wasn't expecting his father to be concerned for him, but now that he was here inquiring about his absence, Edric replied," Busy with some work."
Felix scowled as he quickly caught Edric lying, but he soon realized what was going on when he saw how red his eyes were.
"You have been drinking, haven't you?" Edric did not look inebriated, but the look in his eyes and his disheveled appearance certainly suggested that he was.
It wasn't new to see Edric consuming alcohol. But Felix had never seen him drink it after he got back home.
"I will then speak with you after you have sobriety." Felix sighed and watched Edric lower his gaze.
