Leaving the woman behind, Clara headed to the main office. Taking a step inside, she approached the inquiry counter and inquired about the address from the woman.
"Sorry, ma'am, but we are unable to assist you with this. We do not normally give out any information to outside parties," the woman said, expressing regret.
"This city's postal code is on this letter. I need to know when and where it was sent, can you at least check?" Clara pleaded to the woman, but she remained steadfast in her beliefs.
"I apologize, Miss," she said.
Clara left the building feeling discouraged and dejected. She was wrong to think that the postal code would tell her more about the person who had sent the letter.
The day she received this letter, the address written on the envelope got smuggled when she accidentally threw water on it. She regretted being careless and even cursed herself.
Everything was deleted except for the postal code, and now even that was useless as she couldn't get the address.
"How am I supposed to find the person" Clara felt helpless as her plan backfired.
Depressed, she returned to her apartment and informed Abby, updating her about the outcome.
[ I should have seen this coming] Clara received a text from Abby.
Taking a deep breath, she replied, " What should I do now? "
A few seconds later, she received another message saying, "I have a friend who can help us with this. He is currently out of the country and will be back in a month and a half."
[ I can't stay here for too long and a month is still too much time] Clara couldn't wait for this long, she had to return.
[ How about until he returns you find a suitable job over there. Did you forget you need one right now]
Abby's text poured a glass of water on thoughts. Yes, she had lost her previous job because her boss started hitting on her. She found it too overbearing to stick there so she resigned.

Clara looked at the text and thought for a while. She still did not want to admit that she needed a job to pay her bills.
[How am I going to explain him, though?] She sent the text by clicking the send button.
Clara bit her lip in anticipation when she received a text quicker than before.
[Do not be concerned for him. I will take care of everything. You find a job there until my friend comes back. You can also resign once we locate the person based on the lead.]
Clara considered what Abby had said. Yes, she had a point. She needed a job, and she would make the most of her stay here if she managed to get one.
[ I think you are right. I will start looking for it from this day on. Just do one favor. Could you please mail me copies of my documentation]
[That is my girl (emoji of a kiss). Fear not—I will take care of it.] After a lengthy conversation, Clara put her phone away and lay down on the bed.
Finding a suitable job was the last task she had to complete. Clara had already worked in the finance department prior to completing her studies in that field. So she presumed it wasn't that hard to get a job.
She quickly got up, started looking for a job that would suit her needs, and applied to a few that matched her profile. But this one job was paying her more than the one she applied for.
"Personal assistant," she muttered as she scanned the criteria down the page, but she did not find anything. Considering that it had to be a standard kind of work, she chose to apply for it as well.
"Let's hope for the best," Clara told herself
Clara received an email from Abby in which she forwarded the original copies of her documents. Now she only had to take out the prints before walking for the interview.
Walking out of the room, Clara had her dinner and called it a day.

Finally, the employees breathed a sigh of relief after their boss agreed to the proposal. Following a brief discussion of some details, Adrian decided to end the day and left the company, with Austin trailing behind.
"You go home. I'll drive alone" instructing both Austin and the driver, Adrian stepped into the car and drove away from there.
Austin looked at the retreating car and then at the driver. They had the same worried expression. Adrian would only drive alone when he wanted to spend some time away from his busy life.
After a thirty-minute drive, Adrian reached his penthouse. It was the only place that gave him peace.
Walking in, he was greeted by the keeper Leo, who would take care of his house in his absence.
"Young master" the middle-aged man greeted Adrian and took the suit from his hand.
"What would you like to have for dinner," he asked politely.
"Nothing... I will be in my room. You are free to go." Without batting a single glance, he walked upstairs to his room.

[Bedroom]
Adrian got up and went to the mini bar, where he took a bottle off the shelf and poured some wine into a glass before moving onto the couch.
He could not recall the last time he would had time to himself after taking over the CEO role. His busy schedule would take away his time, so he made sure to come here whenever he felt lonely.
As he sipped the whine from her glass his thoughts drifted to a particular person, who seemed to capture his mind whenever he wasn't working. He thought after all these years he would be able to forget her but today... he was again reminded of her.
If he had never seen that unknown woman, he would've never recalled his past. Gulping down the entire drink, he poured another glass as he let his mind succumb to the effects of alcohol inside his system.
It was the only way he could loosen up without anyone's presence around and be himself.
He took out his phone and looked at the image that, despite knowing what it had done to him, was still on his mind every single moment.
"Have you ever loved me?" he inquired, grinning and glancing at the photo. It was a sarcastic question he kept asking someone who wouldn't answer him back.
Although Adrian was a heartless person to everyone, this one person gave him hope for a better life and simultaneously cast him back into the depths of despair.
"I will never forgive you" his eyes suddenly turned blank and his hold of the phone tightened.
When everything flashed through his mind, a void opened up in his heart, and he angrily slammed the phone down on the couch.
He ended up finishing the entire bottom without realizing it and collapsed onto the couch, dozing off.
