Derek and Regina drove to his apartment, changed, and then left for their destination.
As they drove, Regina was giddy with anticipation, but when he altered their route to Emerson's Mansion, the bubble of excitement burst.
"Are we going to Emerson House?" Regina asked, turning to Derek with worried eyes. She hoped in her mind that he would say no, even though it was clear they were heading to the Emerson Mansion.
"Hmm," his short response hit like a bolt to her already nervous heart, and she inquired as to why they were going there.
"I thought you were taking me on a date; then why there?"
Despite the change in her relationship with Clara and Adrian, there was still a conflict in Regina's heart when it came to facing their family. Whatever had gone wrong at the time prevented her from confronting them.
She could not help but feel anxious now that she was expected to make an unexpected appearance.
