"What happened? Why are you looking there?" Clara inquired when she noticed Adrian distracted.
Adrian watched the man vanish from view before shifting his gaze to Clara and shaking his head.
"It is nothing. What were you saying, by the way?" Adrian inquired, diverting her thoughts.
Clara did not suspect anything from Adrian's behavior and simply stated, "I am tired. Can we go drink something fresh?"
Clara had been feeling pain in her leg for some time now. She asked Adrian if they could take a break from looking around.
Adrian noticed the swelling in her legs and quickly guided her to the resting area.
He then helped her remove the scandals and said, "I should not have brought you here. Look at your legs; they are completely swollen."
Adrian had no idea Clara's excessive standing would lead to this problem. But when he realized how badly she needed a massage, he abandoned the idea of going any further.
