Rachael entered to a deafening silence. Looking around, she sighed, grateful that no one was around, and tried to flee to her room until she heard someone call her.
"Rachael"
Her eyes darted to the couch she had missed earlier and she gulped as Alexander's voice came from the side.
"Rachael, where have you been all day?" Alexander questioned, gazing directly into her eyes.
A shiver ran down her spine when Rachael watched him approaching her. She felt a cold sweat appear on her back as she watched him stand in front of her and utter,
"I asked you something, Rachael. Where have you been for the entire day?" He said it again, and this time she recoiled at the seriousness of his tone.
Rachael had intentionally come home later than usual, thinking Alexander had gone to bed, but she was mistaken.
