Clara's eyes fluttered as she stood there alone with Adrian dashing out of the cabin in fury. She didn't want to think about him, but the way he left without any word made her feel guilty.
She knew her words were harsh but they were true with no filter. Standing there for some time Clara calmed herself, before walking back to her desk.
To stop herself from thinking about Adrian, she started scribbling something in her journal. Writing a few words, her thoughts drifted to the moment when Adrian kissed her and her hand stopped midway.
The way he silenced her by sealing her lips wasn't the first time. He had done it before but this time she managed to push him away and not fall for it.
"Jerk" she cursed under her breath and resumed her writing.

Adrian reached the terrace of the building, dashing out of the door. He wanted to breathe and feel at peace. The uneasiness in his heart was making him suffocate.
Every time he closed his eyes Clara's face flashed in front of him. The pain in her eyes, the way she looked at him with an accusing gaze made his heart stop beating.
He felt pain inside his chest watching her look at him like he was the biggest mistake of her life. It was she who cheated on him by choosing someone else.
The one who got hurt was him, not her, so why did he feel bad when he watched her cry?
Standing there like a statue Adrian tried to brush off those fleeting feelings but then his action from a while ago came rushing through his mind.
"Damn... what have I done" he then realized where it all came from.
Adrian licked his lips still feeling the essence of her saliva that still drove him crazy. Just a small touch and he would feel his entire body lit on fire. The taste of her mouth always had the power to tame his rage that kept him waiting at the bay ready to launch.
'No Adrian don't lose your focus' he thought and pulled out from the cogitation. His heart still felt heavy and he wanted to calm down before he returned to his cabin and faced the girl.
Pulling out a strip of cigarette from the packet, he lit it up and took a deep puff. It was the best way to release every stress that would bother him.
He didn't realize how much he had been taking them since he saw Clara again. To stop himself from losing his mind, he had to get help from this stuff.
Smoking the cigarette, Adrian flicked the remaining strip on the ground, crushing it under his shoes, and walked away from there.
When he entire his cabin, he found no one there, and his brows joined into a deep frown.
"Where did she go?" he mumbled staring at the empty table.

Clara went to the mini canteen. Standing in front of the coffee machine, she filled a cup for herself. She wanted to focus on her work, but every time she tried to do something, Adrian's face came into her view.
She knew feeling anything for him was dangerous for her, but the pain she saw on his face, she couldn't erase it from her mind and kept pondering further.
"Ah... I need to cleanse my system and stop thinking about that jerk" Clara was going mad and needed a break to gather her thoughts.
Taking a sip from her coffee, Clara started to think of the way she should maintain a distance from Adrian without neglecting her duties towards him.
"Argh!! Even my thoughts are getting scared from coming out" she mumbled scratching her head like a monkey.
"Who is scared of who" came a voice that snapped Clara out of her world and she turned her head towards the person.
"Vincent Roger... hmm" Clara quickly covered her mouth realizing what she just said.
'Damn.. did he hear me' she thought as she curiously stared at the man at the entrance of the canteen.
Vincent who was just passing by saw Clara talking to herself. Curious to know about the girl, even more, he decided to cut in.
Clara was dumbfounded to see Vincent looking at her with a mischievous grin lingering on his face and she cleared her throat," Ahem.."
She was just trying to brush off her embarrassment, and at cool as if she wasn't doing anything stupid before.
She turned to keep the coffee cup back on the table ready to run from there, but before she could turn she felt someone's presence behind and her body froze.
"I too want to have coffee... a strong one" Vincent approached Clara, sensing her actions of running away from there, and stopped right behind her before he leaned close to her ear and whispered.
Vincent's breath tickled her ear just for a second but it was enough to flinch her. Clara took a step to the side, away from where Vincent stood, and bobbed her head.
Amazed by her action, Vincent found himself smiling at her. It had been so long that he found something that would amuse him.
Clara poured a black coffee into the cup before she passed it to Vincent. She could feel his eyes on her and she found it a little uncomfortable.
After she met with him yesterday, she came to find the man a little strange. His actions toward her were like a creep, but then when she looked into his eyes, she didn't find the same playfulness in them.
It felt like he had been purposely putting on an act for the outer world but deep inside he wasn't enjoying it at all. But she quickly brushed off her thoughts over him and rushed away from there hoping she wouldn't stumble on him again.
But here she was making him a cup of coffee even though he wasn't her boss.
Clara could only shake her head, finding herself landing into people with whom she was trying to maintain a distance.
She watched him take a sip of the coffee and bobbed his head in satisfaction and she found her heart felt at ease. At least he didn't scold her for the coffee.
"Perfect... just the way I like," he said bringing his attention back to the girl who let out a sincere smile and he found his heart skip a beat.
