"Mom, what happened to you all of a sudden?" Regina asked after Rachael regained her consciousness.
It's been a while since she woke up, but due to Alexander being next to her, Regina just couldn't talk with her mother. But now that he had excused himself, she seized the opportunity to ask.
Rachael glanced at the door and sighed.
"Alexander discovered that I was taking money out of his other accounts in secret."
Regina stammered for words, but she quickly got her bearings and reprimanded her.
"I told you to cut ties with that man, yet you kept feeding him with money. Have you not already learned from your mistakes?" She gnashed her teeth in fury.
Clement was none other than Rachael's ex and Regina's biological father. Even though they were related by blood, Regina detested that man for leaving them just when they needed him.
