Hazel didn't speak a word for few minutes and kept staring at Vincent.
"Rest assured that Peter will not try to do anything if you are concerned about that. The cops will not let him lay his eyes on you," Vincent said.
Vincent ensured that Hazel and her family would not encounter any issues with Clement and Peter by keeping everything under control.
"But that doesn't mean you are forgiven," Hazel stated, leaving Vincent stunned.
"But Hazel-" Vincent tried to speak but Hazel stopped him.
"You ought to have given it some thought before calling me a liar." Even though Hazel had already forgiven Vincent deep down, she would not forgive him so readily.
He had to earn it.
On the other hand, Vincent felt as though everything in his world had stopped. The determined look in Hazel's eyes was piercing holes into his heart and he felt like suffocating.
