"You truly didn't see it?" Clara asked and saw in refute with a light shake of his head.
"Un-hn"
Clara sighed before she looked at him and said," It's about Abby and James."
Clara started talking, telling him everything about Abby's past and how that person was back now, making Abby second-guess her choice.
Adrian remained silent for a while, obviously considering what she had said. He did notice that James was not acting as playful as usual yesterday, but he did not give it much thought because he reasoned that perhaps he was just being good.
But after listening to Clara speak, he realized that perhaps his friend was experiencing what Abby was.
"Now that I think about it, I realize even James wasn't himself." Clara was startled when Adrian spoke, but she nodded in agreement.
"Given that Abby's parents had accepted James and actually seemed to like him, I had assumed that Abby would go ahead and make their relationship official."
