Abby chewed her lower lips in anticipation before calling James.
Janet's convicted words left her with no choice and now she had to bring James to meet her father or else her mother's words might end up turning into reality.
"Hey sweetie, did you miss me?" Abby rolled her eyes when she heard James's flirtatious voice over the phone.
"James, there is a big problem," she said in a serious tone, and James straightened up in the chair to listen.
"What is it?" he asked as his smile faded at the very moment.
"My dad would like to see you!" James was momentarily stunned by her announcement.
"James, are you there?" Abby inquired as soon as the line fell silent, but James cleared his throat and quickly pulled back from his shock.
"When are we going to meet him?" He asked.

Abby was surprised by James's extreme civility, but she also sensed the anxiety in his tone and sighed.
