"Derek is not my biological son; his parents passed away in an accident when he was eighteen," Emily said, glancing at the three shocked people who had surrounded her since they returned.
Emily had anticipated seeing Derek with them, but Adrian informed her that he had to remain in custody because he was the only person whose identification had been discovered at the scene. But he promised that he would be released on bond in twenty hours and would see her again soon.
"But didn't you say you had two sons?" Clara spoke up out of nowhere, drawing everyone's attention to her.
"Yes, I do, but I was not referring to Derek," Emily muttered, keeping her eyes low.
Emily could never have imagined that the truth about Drake would ever surface, nor that Edric would ever discover he has another son.
