The next day, Clara woke up and started getting ready for work.
Clara took one last look at herself while standing in front of the tall dressing table before turning to face her husband.
"Are you sure about the dinner? I mean if you aren't comfortable, I can explain her" Clara asked while helping Adrian with the tie.
She seemed a little anxious from the time she woke up, wondering whether she was doing right by bringing Adrian along to Emily's place.
Adrian asked, cocking his brow in confusion, "You seem restless; I am not the one who isn't uncomfortable. Tell me, is your friend a ghost, so I should be afraid of her?"
Clara shot Adrian a dull look and heard him chuckle.
"Then I am okay meeting her." He said as he moved away once she had finished tying the tie.
Clara noticed Adrian's calm demeanor and felt her heartbeat increase twice its normal beats.
Taking a deep breath, Clara followed Adrian out of the room.
