Edric took a seat on the couch, and Emily joined him, taking a seat across from him. As soon as he brought up the attacker, Emily immediately stopped being impolite and invited him inside the house.
The abrupt shift in her gesture surprised Edric, but he was secretly relieved that she finally decided to talk with him.
"You too suspected the attack?" Edric was surprised by Emily's words and gave her a wide-eyed look.
"You too?" he asked, watching her nod her head.
"I felt like someone was following me, so I did not think the attack was unintentional. But no matter where I looked, I never saw anyone," she said, watching Edric's expression turn dark.
"You chose to go out alone without any safety precautions, even though you knew you were being followed?" Edric expressed his displeasure with a cold tone.
Emily shot him a glare and replied," Did you forget to hear the last part? I thought I was being followed, but I couldn't see anyone."
