Adrian chose to go check on Clara after a few minutes had gone by since she had not returned.
"Grandpa." Mello chirped and sprinted in Edric's direction.
When he arrived home, he was surprised to see his grandson, who hugged his leg.
"Hey, Mello?When did you arrive?" Edric picked up the happy little bundle and kissed his cheek.
"Why are you so late, Grandpa?I was waiting for you," Mello said, pouting.
"Oh, I am very sorry, dear. "I did not realize you were coming, or I would have rushed home sooner," Edric replied.
Edric soon joined the rest and inquired, "Where is Clara? Hasn't she accompanied you? His gaze shifted around, and he noticed Clara walking towards them.
"Everything okay?" Adrian inquired as she settled next to him.
"Hmm," she hummed and turned her gaze to Edric.
"Congratulations, Uncle, on joining the company," Clara exclaimed as Edric's brow furrowed.
