"Happy? It was me who needed to call you, Abby. You didn't even inform me about your arrival. Is this how you treat your parents? Are they not important to you?" He expressed his regret at their only daughter's refusal to see them, although she had been back for nearly a month.
Had he not witnessed her in a restaurant, savoring her meal alongside a man, Christopher would have presumed that his daughter was still in her homeland, occupied with her own life.
"And with whom are you dining? Who is that man?" Christopher inquired with a piercing gaze that made Abby gulp in fear.
