Clara quickly glanced towards the emergency room where her father had been taken. Though she still could not believe Arthur would pass out after the truth was revealed, she was now truly concerned for him.
No matter how their relationship was, Clara still cared for her father. Seeing him in this state crushed her heart because, aside from her mother, he was the only family left.
Adrian was standing next to her when she felt a slight shove from the side, causing her to look away from the door.
"Everything will be alright," he assured her, glancing at her anxious expression.
He could tell by the shimmer of her unshed tears that Clara cared about Arthur and that all he wanted was to be with her to help her get through this trying time.
