Edric decided to take Mello to the garden; however, while they were there, they happened to run into Cassandra, who immediately stopped upon seeing them.
Glancing at the boy, she exclaimed, "Oh, so this is Mello." She couldn't help but sneer before looking at Edric.
"You seem happy to meet him, brother," Cassandra said to Edric with a mocking tone.
She was confident that, like her father, Edric would come to accept the child and leave her to work through her problems on her own.
"Grandpa, who is she?" Mello asked, glancing first at the women and then at Edric. He found the lady way too rude and intimidating.
"You don't need to know," Cassandra mocked and turned to walk away. She deliberately excused herself to the garden, avoiding meeting Adrian and Clara. Unfortunately, her brother decided to shove her away from there too.
"Cassandra.." Edric tried to persuade his sister but she left without sparing another glance their way.
