The words of Cassandra surprised Vincent, who nervously cleared his throat and said, "What are you saying? Why would I like that girl?" Vincent commented.
Vincent was perplexed as to how Cassandra discovered his attraction to Adrian's woman. He remembered only one person knowing about it. 'Derek'
Vincent's pupils dilated at the mention of Derek, but he dismissed the thought, certain that his friend would never turn against him.
Cassandra silently observed her son and sneered mentally. She couldn't believe her son was lying right in her face.
"No, I simply felt that perhaps you ought to go after her," Cassandra said while maintaining a natural expression.
Vincent moved closer to Cassandra, squinting his eyes, and questioned, "Why? Are you planning on using me again?"
Cassandra snorted, finding humor in Vincent's remarks. She stroked her son's hair and remarked, "Oh my son is so innocent."
