"I've done it! I've finished it! Hahaha!" The man laughed, to himself. "The Demon had some stuff programmed into her A.I. that I didn't like, but I've fixed her, Kako is finally complete." The man said, looking at the creation. "I should power her on, I don't think I can wait any longer. Here we go." The man said, inputting a code on her back, then lifting her and setting her on the bed.
"Kako, are you awake?" The man asked, Kako. Kako's eye opened, the man's face lit up in joy.
"Yes, I am awake. You are... Taro, yes? My Father." Kako said, smiling at Taro.
"Yes, I am! And you're Kako!" Taro said, with excitement. "Oh, quickly, how many fingers am I holding up?" Taro asked, testing her abilities.
"I see six fingers." Kako said, quickly.
"Good, you can count, that code seemed a little odd so I wanted to make sure it was okay." Taro said, with relief.
"What's my purpose, Father?" Kako asked, wondering why she exists.
"Just be happy, Kako. There's so much to enjoy about life, I want you to enjoy it!" Taro said, starting to cry.
"Father, what's wrong?" Kako asked, worried about Taro.
"I'm just so happy that I've finally created you, that's all. I've spent years working on you, with help of course, but... I just wanted you to exist." Taro said, with a tear filled smile.
"Father..." Kako said, smiling.
"Come, you must be hungry." Taro said, knowing she is.
"Yes, I am." Kako said, getting out of the bed.
"Careful, these are your first steps." Taro said, making sure she takes her time.
"Right." Kako said, nodding her head.
Kako slid off the bed and used it to hold herself, eventually finding her balance and being able to walk just fine.
"Good job, Kako! You did amazingly! I'm so happy to see you move!" Taro said, hugging Kako.
"Thank you, Father, I'm glad I can make you happy from something so simple." Kako said hugging him back.
Taro walked into the living room, where Kako ate a chicken leg. "Oh, is this the news?" Taro asked, sitting down next to Kako.
"Yes, it is, Father." Kako replied.
"There has been sightings of a sort of green cloud that seems to spread and expand, this cloud is completely unknown to any meteorologist we've asked. More on the story after this break." The news person on the T.V
said.
"Green cloud? That's odd. Well it isn't even in America, so we're fine. I hope it isn't dangerous to the people that it is near." Taro said, not thinking much of it.
"That cloud... I can't find any data on it." Kako said, not knowing what it is.
"Strange, not like we can really know until we know, let's just wait and see what the news has to say." Taro told Kako.
"Okay." Kako replied, eating more.
"Breaking news. We interrupt your regularly scheduled program for this breaking news." The people on the news say.
Kako woke up, hearing the breaking news. She wanted to see if it was important. 'I guess we fell asleep... Father is still sleeping, he looks so peaceful. I love him.' Kako thought, looking back at the T.V.
"The green cloud was much bigger than we previously thought. The origin of this cloud is unknown, we can't even get a sample because if you breathe this in, you'll have a very slow death. At first you'll be paralyzed from the waist down, instantly, then you'll slowly lose all the water in your body, and within an estimated time of six to eight hours, you'll die. Stay clear of this green cloud to whoever is near it, this is incredibly dangerous." The news people said, warning the world about this dangerous cloud.
'Oh no, that's bad. But, like Father said, it isn't in America, so it can't hurt us.' Kako thought, as she went back to sleep with Taro.
Kako woke up on the couch, she noticed Taro wasn't around. 'Where's Father?' Kako asked, herself. She sat up, the news channel was still on, it was playing a twenty four, seven, watch on the green cloud.
"I've come to make sure the camera isn't damaged at all, don't mind me, viewers." A man on the T.V. said, messing with the camera.
"Kako, did you sleep okay?" Taro said, walking in from the other room.
"Oh, Father. Yes, I slept really good." Kako said, with a beautiful smile. Taro smiled back, then walked over and sat with her on the couch.
"Father... May I ask a question?" Kako said, knowing he'd allow her.
"Of course, Kako, you can ask me anything." Taro said, pulling her closer to him as the bath sit together.
"Why did you design me the way I am? I mean... I have blue hair, I feel like I stand out a lot..." Kako said, not trying to sound rude.
"Oh, that? I'm not actually sure... I originally wanted you to be blonde with light blue eyes, but when I came to finish you, your eyes and hair turned dark blue... It's odd." Taro said, explaining his answer to her question.
"Oh...? That... is weird..." Kako said, trying to understand it.
"Wait... What the...?" The guy on the T.V. said, looking at the green cloud. "It's... moving kinda fast..." The man said, as he looked into the oncoming green cloud. "Oh my, it smells awful. I'll move the camer a bit farther back so you can all watch it from a better angle." The man said, picking up the camera and getting in a truck with it.
"This green gloud seems to have the attention of everyone... Why?" Kako asked, not understanding the entertainment.
"Well, not much really happens here, not anymore. We're in Florida and crazy things used to happen all the time, especially here, but eventually the world went into peace, sometime around twenty fourty. So when something new happens the news try to eat it up." Taro explained.
"Oh, I see..." Kako said, understanding it now.
"Okay, that spot should do." The man on the T.V. said, driving his truck over to a spot he saw.
"This green cloud gives me a bad feeling, Father..." Kako said, holding tightly onto Taro's arm.
Taro gave Kako a pat on the head. "Everything will be fine, Kako. We'll always have each other, that's all that matters." Taro said, smiling.
"Oh... man... I don't feel so good..." The man said, after he set up the camera. "I feel like... I feel... like..." The man said, unable to finish his sentence. And suddenly, the man fell onto the groud, his lifeless face staring into the camera.
"Oh my God!" Taro shouted, not expecting it. Kako jumped and hid her face in Taro's chest. "Kako, it's okay... I'm here... I'm here..." Taro said, holding Kako.
"What even happened?" Kako said, looking up at Taro for an answer.
"Maybe... the smoke is poisonous...?" Taro said, trying to find some explanation.
"But... he inhaled it... maybe five minutes ago... Even the worlds deadliest poison takes around twelve hours..." Kako said, debunking Taro's thought.
"I-I don't know... That's the only explanation unless he was poisoned before he even got there." Taro said, still trying to find an explanation.
After a few minutes of the lifeless man on the T.V. stared at the camera, sounds of a car pulling could be heard. Taro and Kako looked back at the T.V. They notice the face has already started decaying.
"What the hell..." Taro said, slowly, in disbelief.
"No poison can make a body... decompose so fast..." Kako said, not understanding how the body is already decomposing. Both Taro and Kako stare in fear at the T.V. for a few moments.
