Sally
Fujishima’s Estate: Hilltop Shrine
There was something different around the air when Mikage went into her meditation and Sally was feeling proud but there was something odd around the air. Sally quickly looked around the energy flow around the area but there was nothing different. She immediately went down to check on Mikage went she saw some burned marks on her forehead which made her sigh before smirking.
“You’re indeed a remarkable maiden, Mikage.” Sally whispered and touched delicately the center of Mikage’s forehead.
As soon as she touched it, Sally immediately took a peek within MIkage’s meditation, and there she saw where she was. She was in the realm of a fire oni or demon that has been ruling on the opposite side of the Fujishima’s estate. Sally smirked but it was not getting good for Mikage to stay for too long in another realm for a beginner. She was about to do something but Mikage handled it for herself. Sally smirked and leave her be. As for reality, Sally waited patiently for the return of MIkage when her siblings sensed something in their area.
“Sally, what’s going on?” Yumiko asked as soon as they found Sally watching their baby sister very intently.
“We felt strange energy coming from here.” Toshi added while panting. Her sister was much faster than him.
“Mikage’s meeting her next familiar.” Sally calmly answered since they could not see her expression because of the fox mask that she was still wearing.
“That’s soon? Wait, she was just meditating?” Toshi reacted surprised since nobody in the maiden’s met their familiar without passing the gates yet.
“Yes, don’t touch her. Let’s just wait. She’s already dealing with it.” Sally reminded Toshi that he was about to touch his baby sister.
“Sally, how can you tell?” Yumiko slapped the back of the head of her brother to stop being curious about Mikage’s meditation and asked Sally.
“I’m gifted, I guess…” Sally just answered which Toshi smirked at.
“Lier. You’re hiding something. But who cares about it as long you keep our baby sister safe, then we’re cool not knowing everything about you.” Toshi reacted as he teased Sally for being secretive.
“Thank you then.” Sally just thanked them for being understanding since the only person who should know who she really was and her mate was Mikage.
Not soon enough, Mikage finally woke up and immediately looked at Sally. She quickly asked what just happened since she knew to herself that she had never been in that kind of meditation before - so deep. She just went into another realm within just a second of her closing her eyes.
“So care to tell me what just happened?” Mikage asked Sally again since Sally was totally trying to read her deeply. She tried to ignore the burning of her cheeks from that stare her crush/mate was giving her.
“You’re burning and you scream for how many they are. Then within just a few seconds, everything quiets down. I check on you and I saw you meet the fire demon boss. He was fascinated by what you can do.” Sally answered her question.
“That’s a demon? Well, he looked like one but why he was calm?” Mikage shrugged her shoulders as if she never went into another realm. She easily came back having no grave sweat or fear of what she had been through there.
“He was in his realm. Was it color blue?” Sally answered before asking what was the color of the flame around the fire demon boss.
“Yeah, but the rest looked ruined and burned.” she confirmed what Sally guessed and even recalled what tainted color she has seen there.
“Well, whenever a fire demon boss resting in their realm, the flames around them were like that and it was surprising it was not hostile with you.” Sally explained what she knew about them since Mikage was not there yet. Sawako was the one who need to explain it to her.
“It was not but his minions were.” Mikage sighed before she shivered as she recalled being chased by them. Sally chuckled slightly and Mikage blushed a little from hearing it.
“Ah, that’s why you shouted like that.” Sally nodded as she concluded why Mikage suddenly shouted.
“Yeah, and why you two are here?” Mikage answered before she turned her attention to her siblings behind Sally. She just noticed them after talking with Sally.
“Well, just like Sally, we heard your scream that’s why we’re here.” Toshi answered while grinning which made Mikage just roll her eyes away from him.
“Plus, the odd energy came from here that’s why we have to check it out or something might stir up again.” Yumiko added that making Mikgae just nod until Sally offered a hand to her.
“I see, sorry about that then.” Mikage understood and apologized to them as she took the offered hand of Sally before getting up.
“Well, see Sally was with you. We’re going to make some rounds now.” Toshi wiggled his eyebrow at her again which made her glare before sighing.
“Sally, take care of our baby sis.” Yumiko ruffled her baby sister’s hair as she said that message for Sally.
“I will, Yumiko.” Sally answered assuringly.
“Meditate more. You’ll get there soon.” Yumiko pinched the cheeks of her baby sister before she went after Toshi.
“I will.” Mikage shouted until they were fully gone into their sight.
Sally watched her carefully since Mikage stretched her getting stiff body before she glanced over her shoulder. She just sensed Sally was staring at her then blushed. Sally smirked beneath her mask before she walked ahead of Mikage who snapped from the blushing moment and tailed her.
There was silence as they went back to the estate and that silence, really bring peacefulness around Mikage which also Sally likes. It was calming her down but there was something following them. Mikage suddenly sighed and she snapped her fingertips, Sally stopped moving because something suddenly made her stop moving. There were very thin web strings that was surrounding not just her but Mikage as well. Sally looked over her and there she saw faint energy flowing around Mikage.
‘She never failed to amaze us.’
“Remarkable indeed.” Sally agreed to her monster side when she saw another thing that was growing within Mikage’s maiden’s powers.
Sally set that aside for a moment and noticed that Mikage was preventing what she just sensed that surprised her. Sally smirked since Mikage was getting strong every second that she was with her. She kept noticing how remarkable Mikage was growing and she can’t wait to train with her. She wanted to see how Mikage will be able to handle different kind of monsters that she might go to face soon.
“Mikage.” Sally called her but there was something else merging within her voice that made Mikage shiver but still looked at her way.
“Yeah?” Mikage studied Sally but she could not read her easily. There was something in Sally that she was hiding and Mikage already sensing that part.
“Nothing, I’m just wondering what will you do when you meet a soul-beast prince.” Sally shakes her head slightly before she turned her back on her and with one flick of her finger the spider web, it began to dissolve.
Mikage
Mikage was surprised by it which leave her speechless. She just stood there and watched carefully Sally as she went down the hilltop stairs. She was amazed and admired Sally’s undeniable ability that she was hoping to cross with someday.
“I wonder if I could ever deal with it one day…” Mikage muttered to herself as she went on running toward Sally.
But when she almost got near Sally, Mikage immediately did a backflip before jumping to the right side to dodge a sudden attack that was aimed only at her. Mikage has no time to react when another one was coming. It was an invincible attack but it was there. Mikage did another dodge by running and sliding at the same time before she did a front roll then followed by another backflip then to a handstand. Good thing she has a good balance in her body due to the ritual dance that her mother intensely trained her with.
Yet, she had no idea of what suddenly going on with her. Something was attacking her and preventing to get close to her Sally. Mikage blushed from thinking that Sally was hers but she shook her head and with one deep breath, she quickly changed.
“What that…” Mikage thought to herself when she saw a strange energy flow that was moving randomly and it was looking like a tornado that was splitting into different thicknesses.
Each thickness had a different effect on the area which made Mikage go to her careful side as she dodges all of them. But that was not the only thing that she was doing, she was studying how it moved and how it affects the area. Yet, she could not find anything around it.
“Dammit.” Mikage clicked her tongue and just slammed her hand on the ground making those tornado-like to shutter into nothingness when a strong wave from her hand made contact on the ground.
She sighed until clapping hands echoed behind her and a kiss over her shoulder was being placed. Mikage flinched but she blush because she knew who was it from.
“You’re indeed a remarkable maiden. I mean, my maiden.” Sally whispered with a mixed tone from her other side that also fascinated her. Mikage blushed more but flickered the forehead of Sally as soon as she faced her.
