After Vincent paid for the tickets, and after many girls walked by who checked him out, we finally got in our cart. The bodyguards sat in the previous booth.
I am kind of nervous, perhaps I indeed had a fear. We only just got in and I don’t think I will be able to handle this at all. As we slowly start to get higher and higher I start to get more and more fearful. Sweat starts to break out and my hands start to tremble.
“Are you alright?” Vincent asks me after I didn’t say anything for a few minutes and only stared at the floor. I look up at him and he is sitting somehow closer to me. The booth is already very tight but somehow this man managed to come closer to me. I nod unconvincingly.
“Give me your hand, Pandora.” He says while holding his hand out for me to grab, I slowly move my hand into his huge hand. It closes around mine and he holds it like it’s the thing he needs to protect the most. It distracts me from the outer world, from the heights.
While Vincent traces small circles with his fingers on my hand, I start to enjoy the scenery of London. It looks so pretty, everything and everyone looks so small. The lights shine beautifully as the sun is also starting to set which makes everything even more perfect. When we reach the top I look at Vincent who is also enjoying the view as much as I am. Suddenly I got an idea.
“Vincent, Where’s your phone?” He looks confused for a second.
“Give it to me quickly before we start to go down.” I urged him. He laughs before handing me his phone. I quickly click on the camera icon on his start screen. I take the phone better in my hands before I turn towards Vincent and try to get the view as well on the picture. I clicked around twenty times in the hope that I got the perfect picture.

London is a beautiful city, but it’s even prettier in the evening. Vincent and I are riding towards our restaurant, I have no idea where it is or what it is but I can’t wait. Vincent is still holding my hand while he is driving, he never once let go since he grabbed it. When we finally arrived at our destination, we stopped at a very pretty restaurant that was totally filled and packed with people.
I wanted to open the car door but Vincent stopped me. “Wait a second.” He spoke before jumping out of the car and running towards my door and opening it. He is so cute. My cheeks blushed at the small affection shown. He opened the car and held out a hand, I grabbed his huge hand and stepped out of the car. He threw the door shut and we linked our arms together once more.
“How did you get reservations at this place?” I ask in wonder as we see the queue that’s waiting for a cancelled reservation so that they could take their place. Couples mostly are there. Vincent and I are surely the youngest couple that is sitting there.
Vincent walks toward a man standing at the front and without any words exchanged Vincent and I are let into the huge restaurant. Vincent walks in first and holds the door for me before we walk together to our spot. We sit in the corner and have a beautiful view of the city.
“Do you like it?” He asks me nervously. I nod vigorously. How couldn’t I? Huge chandeliers are hanging from the ceiling, bookcases are everywhere, candles burn, a nice fragrance is spread everywhere, people are laughing.
“Good, I was hoping for such a reaction.” He smiles and then he slides his hand over the table to grab mine again. I laugh. He smiles shyly before a young waitress comes to us to ask for our order. She is obviously checking Vincent out, but she isn’t being disrespectful to me or him, so I am thankful for that.
“I bought you something.” Vincent starts, he reaches into the inside of his pocket and takes out a small box. “You didn’t have to-” “I wanted to.” He hands the small box to me. I look at him before opening it. My eyes open as I see amethyst earrings with gold details.
“Vincent, I can’t take this,” I start “This is too much.”
“Pandora, I bought it for you because it reminded me of you, and it wasn’t half as expensive as I wanted to spend on your present.” My heart beats fast. My cheeks are red. My eyes are watering. This was the last thing I expected.
“Vincent,-”
“Pandora, please take it.” I look at the gems and back at Vincent who has a hopeful expression all over his face. I smile before removing my earrings I am currently wearing with these. It might be disrespectful to do this in a restaurant but the way that Vincent is looking at me makes me feel like I am the most beautiful thing in the world.
“They look perfect.” And what surprised me the most was that I felt beautiful as well.
When our food arrived we both started talking, about his family, about my family, about his dreams, my dreams, his favourite quote, my favourite quote, his favourite book, my favourite book and on and on.
This man will be the death of me, really.
Because the most horrible thing is that I am officially in love with Vincent Dayholt.
