The dark memories lingered, but they were overwhelmed by the sudden light... by the sudden warmth that enveloped Arren.

"Spade..." he weakly muttered. The past and the present were still overlapping at each other as though he were having a hallucination. This made Arren's voice hoarser than before.
He wanted to hear his voice, he wanted to know that what he experienced in this life was real and not only an illusion created by his hopeless fantasy.
