Arren had never been acting so nervous in a banquet before. He kept his head lowered, as he wanted to be as inconspicuous as possible. However, the more he acted as though he wanted to run into the bathroom and relieve himself, the more he caught the attention of others.
And that included the second person he was reluctant to meet in the palace. As Arren was making himself invisible in the corner, a carefree voice rang behind him.
"Arren?"
This voice was so familiar that it immediately gave him a start, making him flinch, and his head shot up to look at the newcomer. Sure enough, it was Levin!
Their eyes met, and Arren was so distraught that he couldn't react quickly.
Levin tilted his head in confusion and tried to touch his forehead, but Arren was fast this time, and he avoided it. This did not make the atmosphere awkward, though, as the two had always been this way. Well, that was before.
